Wait for their call;
They're hiding in shadows,
They're walking the halls.

Light a fire quickly
To warm the dark room
And chase away the chill
Of supernatural gloom.

If you close your eyes,
And patiently wait,
The ghosts will appear
When the hour is late.

A candle will flicker;
The strength of its flame
Will summon the silent ones
Who have no name.

Don't break the circle
If you want to hear
Stories and secrets
Revealed from past years.

They will urge you to speak
Their words with your voice - -
Though you try to resist,
They will give you no choice.

You will unfold the truth
But you won't remember
For the spirit-song dies
With the fire's last glowing embers.

Then they will leave you
And return to their graves,
Leaving you to wonder if
Their souls will be saved.
