Subj: Dare Story - Chapter 2

Scarlett looked at everyone's faces. They were all so nervous, yet excited too. It was a excitement, a pleasure, a thrill that could only be derived from doing something dangerous... something exhilarating. It would be fun, thought Scarlett to herself as she voiced her opinion.

"Yeah! Why not? Let's go explore! I mean, how often are we going to get to meet up at...at... hey, are we at Widow's Hill?"

Shadowalker looked around again. "Yup, I believe so."

"Well come on! Let's explore!" Jon exclaimed excitedly.

Voices filled the cold night air as everyone began talking all at once. Still chattering nervously they began to make their way alone the cliff's edge being careful not to get to close. They had all watched enough Dark Shadows to know better than to do that.

The air began to grow cold suddenly. Colder than it was before and everyone stopped dead in there tracks. (pun intended)

"Jeez! It's colder than a bathtub full of ice cubes out here!" Connie exclaimed as Carol, Kim and Donna all nodded their heads in agreement.

Scarlett's teeth had begun to chatter and Jon was rubbing his arms to keep himself warm. Their breath was visible as each one of them grew silent. A long moan breaking the frigid night air.

"Did you hear that!" Kim whispered quietly to the rest of the group. Each one nodding their heads in agreement.

All of a sudden a women's form appeared, breaking out of the forest. They couldn't see her face yet though, since she was too far off. The figure was wearing a long white dress that fell down to her ankles. Was it their imagination or was she 'floating' over the ground... coming towards them... quickly?

"You know guys, it might be a good idea to run right about now. People in horror films always wait till it's too late... let's not make the same mistake." Connie said seriously.

Everyone turned to face her, seriously considering her plan of action. All except Scarlett who continued to stare at the figure running like mad towards them.

She wasn't floating.

But she was carrying a lot of speed.

"Hey! Wait for me!" the woman shouted.

"That's no ghost!" exclaimed Scarlett.

The women approaching had strawberry blonde hair.

She finally closed the gap between her and the rest of the group. Stopping she tried to catch her breath.

"Who are you?" Ask Carol.

"I'm Cindy! You know, from the..."

"C-L List!" Interrupted Scarlett excitedly. "What a surprise to see you here!"

"What *are* we doing here? I went for a walk and next thing I know... I'm wondering in the woods! There aren't even any woods near my house!" she laughed nervously.

After more chatter the group decided it would be best to head out of the woods and towards civilization.

"Yeah, and if we are at Widow's Hill and we head in that direction we will hit Collinwood." Kim continued.

"...and if we see Collinwood we will know we are in Collinsport. As impossible as it sounds!" Scarlett finished.

"What do you think we would find there? I mean it's the year 2001 after all!" asked Donna.

"Well considering what's happening and that the town doesn't even exist I would say that we could find *anything* at Collinwood." said Shadowalker.

"I hope we find Quentin there!" exclaimed Connie with Scarlett nodding her head in agreement.

Jon rolled his eyes. "Well guess there is only one way to find out!"

So off they went, making their way to Collinwood mansion not knowing who *or* what they would find when they arrived.
