From: Kim D.
The group stood gawking at the scene they had just witnessed. “Well, lets explore,” Jon eventually said stepping further into the house. He was followed by the rest the group.
“I can’t believe we’re actually here,” Julinaka said staring around herself in wide-eyed wonderment, trying to take in every inch of the house. There was the sitting room with the portrait of Josette above the mantle, and the doorway that lead downstairs to where Barnabas slept.
“The rest of the list will never believe this. I only with I’d brought my camera,” Kim said.
They heard the sound of someone coming down the hall. They all turned expecting to see Aristede or Elaine reappear. Carol smiled broadly as soon as she realized who it was. It was Willie. He stood still for a moment, surprised at the number of people that were now in the entryway and setting room. “Who are you all? What are you doing here?” he asked.
“We were all traveling through Collinsport. We were out for a walk and got lost.” Scarlett said opting for the simpler and more believable explanation.
“You can’t stay here. He’ll get angry if comes back and finds all these stranger in his house.”
“But we don’t have anywhere to go,” Carol said, walking closer to him, hoping that he wouldn’t throw them out. Willie went to the door and looked nervously outside as if he expected Barnabas to appear at any moment.
“Alright. You can stay for a little while.” He was glad they were here. He liked seeing new faces, who he thought didn’t know anything about his past. They also provided a distraction from his work.
“You mean Barnabas is coming?” Cindy asked
Willie looked at them all suspiciously. “How did you know? I thought you said you were traveling.”
“We heard people from the town talking.” Connie answered quickly.
“If you listened it them it’s a wonder you weren’t too frightened to come here.” Willie moved to the window and again looked outside for Barnabas.
“Will he really be back so soon?” Kim asked anxious to meet more of the people from her favorite show.
“There’s no telling. He could be back in a few minutes or he could be gone all night.”
