From: Julianka

Angelique's laughter echoed through the House by the Sea sending chills down the spines of our dauntless group. Most of us were exactly where we had fallen when frozen by Nicholas' spell. Alia, Shelly, Melissa, Kim and Andy on one side of the room. Cindy, Shadow, Connie, Donna and Mark one the other. Leaving Jon, Beverly, Carol, Scarlett and Julianka scattered in the middle.

"The only question now", pondered Angelique aloud, "is just what to do with you." An evil smirk caused dimples to appear in her lovely cheeks. Beverly grabbed Julianka's arm and whispered quick instructions. Struggling to her feet, Beverly pushed down her fear and stepped bravely forward to confront Angelique.

"That can't be the only question, can it?" Beverly asked, masking her uneasiness behind false bravado. Keeping Angelique's attention firmly fixed on herself, Beverly went on, "Come now. Aren't you the least bit curious about who we are?"

Turning to Beverly, Angelique walked boldly into the center of the room. As she did Julianka slipped her bic lighter out of her pocket and lit Angelique's filmy gown ablaze! Scarlett, Carol, Beverly and Jon quickly pulled the others out of harms way. They were soon joined by Willie and Aristede and every one ran helter sketler out of the house as Angelique shrieks rang in their ears.

"Oh my god! That was close!" gasped Scarlett.

"Close? I think I'm singed!" groaned Jon.

"Do..o do you think she's really gone?" stammered Cindy.

"You saw her flame up, didn't you?" answered Andy.

Spontaneously the whole group caught hands and danced in a circle, singing:

"Ding-dong the witch is dead!
Which old witch?
The wicked witch
Ding-dong the wicked witch is dead

Ding-dong the merry-o
Sing it high
Sing it low
Let it be known
The wicked witch is dead!"

Laughing hysterically they all fell to the ground. When who should come walking out of the misty night? Jen, wided eyed in wonder, at seeing her friends giggling breathlessly as if they had just been caught in a game of freeze tag.
