Nicholas and Evan quickly grew into handsome men.
They each traveled the world extensively, each never wanting for money.
Finally, they met each other one day. They each looked into one anothers eyes, and knew instantly they were connected. They knew they were twin brothers. They soon became friends , as well.

Diabolos, their evil father, was now growing concerned. He thought his sons would never meet one another. Now that they have met each other, anything can happen.

They pursued many women, Nicholas and Evan. Often they would share their women, brother to brother, man to man, and warlock to warlock. And they would talk about their good fortune after. They would boast to each other, as most men do.

After many, many years went by, Nicholas finally fell in love and married. Evan never married, for he was in love with himself. He went to college, and became a lawyer.

Nicholas took his bride, Donamarie, on a trip to Martinique.
It was there, they
met Evan Hanley.
Evan is instantly aroused by his brothers wife. Her beauty is astounding! He thinks, as he stares at her with his deep, dark eyes.
Donamarie is impressed with Evan. Something about him reminds her of Nicholas. How much like him he is, she thinks to herself. She even had a romantic fantasy about Evan once or twice. But why, I am in love with my Nicholas; why would I think of him in such a way? What would Nicholas think of me should he find out? She wonders in shame.
When Nicholas and Evan are talking, Donamarie can see Evan looking at her, and smiling a secret smile. She becomes uncomfortable, as he watches her, and stares.
One day, one of the island merchants, expressed his desire to "buy" Donamarie from Nicholas. Nicholas promptly tells him, "She's not for sale", through gritted teeth , and, in a fit of jealous rage and anger, he kills the man instantly, striking the man with a lightning bolt from the dark sky above.

Eager to start a family, Nicholas wastes no time in giving his bride his child. "It is a boy child, Nicholas tells her. You shall bear my son."
Donamarie is thrilled beyond words that she is to become a mother! To have Nicholas' baby is the most wonderful gift in the world to her!
Soon Nicholas and Donamarie are headed back home.
Evan Hanley is headed home too. He is sitting on the airplane behind them, only a row behind .
When Nicholas leaves his seat on the airplane, to speak with the pilot, Evan leans over to Donamarie, and he tells her how beautiful she is. He also tells her he wants to sleep with her.
Donamarie feels a ripple of excitement at his words, but she tells him, No, that will never happen, Evan." "No, not ever!" Her beautiful face turns red as she blushes from his confession.
'We shall see, Donamarie, we shall soon see." Evan says with a wicked laugh.

Soon Nicholas and Donamarie return home.
Nicholas invites Evan for supper, and he also wants to discuss some legal business with his "lawyer"/brother.
During dinner, Donamarie is uncomfortable as Evan stares at her. It seems he is looking right through her, into her very soul.
Nicholas notices his brother staring at Donamarie. He is instantly suspicious and jealous of him. Nicholas knows how Evan is with women, but he shall not pursue this woman. She belongs only to him, Nicholas Blair, and no other.
Before Evan leaves their home this night, he whispers in Donamaries ear, "I will have you, you know...count on it." He says with a serious expression. Obviously, Nicholas didn't hear this remark.
Donamarie starts to worry about Evan. Why is she attracted to him? And why is he trying to pursue her in this way?
As Nicholas takes a shower, she telephones her best friend, Claudia. She tells her friend of Evan, and her strange attraction to him. She tells her about Evans pursuit of her too.
Claudia is Donamaries very best friend. The two women are very close, they tell each other everything, for they are like sisters.
"I think you should stay away from him, Donamarie. Claudia tells her. He may ruin your happiness with Nicholas." 'Yes, that's what I will do, Claudia." She agrees. 'I am afraid of what I may do if I see him again! Donamarie tells her friend. He has a strange power over me. He is drawing me to him, somehow."
"I am afraid, Claudia. I am afraid to be alone with Evan Hanley!" She admits to her best friend.

Late that night, while Donamarie is asleep, she begins to dream.
Nicholas cannot sleep this night. He goes for a walk along the beach.
Donamarie dreams of him coming to her. By the look in his eyes, she knows he desires her as a man desires a woman in her bed. Oh my Nicholas, she thinks with desire. Nicholas...but no, it's not Nicholas...
He traces her full, sensuous lips with his finger , as he prepares to kiss them passionately.
Oh my Nicholas...but no, it's not Nicholas....
He kisses her ruby lips roughly, and tears at her nightgown to sample her womanly charms. Nicholas..!! She touches his face. It is a bearded face!!
Oh no, it is Evan!! Evan is in her bed!!!
Donamarie awakens with a start! Her heart is racing wildly!!
She is close to panic as she wakes! Her mind is in a haze.
She sighs as she tries to reason about the dream.
I am so glad it was a dream! She thinks in relief.
Why do I dream of him, why? She wonders.
She puts her pretty head down on the pillow once again, and sighs.
She takes in a deep breath. She notices a scent, coming from the blankets.
What is that scent? It seems familiar to her. The fragrance is spicy, and exotic. She has smelled this scent before. How, and where has she smelled it? She thinks for a moment and then she remembers. The realization fills her with fear.
Evan Hanley wears a cologne like that! Evan Hanley WAS in her bed this night!!!!
