Ode To My Beloved Barnabas
Rise courtly man, the nightingale sings
The sky is flaming red
Your freedom nightly rings
The chains of your tomb, now broken fall away
Let hearts with blood flowing herald
"Death to endless day!"
For your thirst is unending
Undead your sun is the moon
Evening will die quickly
The lark will hark dawn soon
Two hundred years ago,
A man held the world by a string
He met a bewitching wench
To Collinwood he promised to bring
But his eyes turned another way
And the maiden he used, cast aside
He found a more suitable girl
One that Joshua could not chide
But the maiden was vengeful
jealous and vexed
So powerful was her anger
Her paramour would be hexed.
So endure the curse of the night
My love, as you stray from the tomb
the light in the world where you dwell
will compare to your mother's womb.
The Power He Has Over Me
What power has he wielded over me?
The magnetic man who lives by the sea.
His silken voice those darkened eyes
The powers, his greatness, I surmise
Only the half of it, there's so much more
To hold in my heart, to follow, to adore
He is all that is evil, I should stray
From men like him, the parental bid me stay away.
Just one look in those eyes, I've descended to Hell
So effortless it seems he weaves his intoxicating spell.
Magic, magic man my heart skips a beat!
Savage, darkened soul, my madness is sweet!
You purposefully stride, you're restless gait
Your countless incantations, for fruition you wait
Deliciously evil and wickedly fun!
You're charming and luscious I'm completely undone!
How can I assuage the passion you rouse
Mortal men can't compete with the man in the seaside house.
From the depths of my soul, you conjure for me
What it is to be enraptured by the spirit of thee.
Ode To Dark Shadows
Tween light and dark the drama plays
The shadows of those golden days
Of widened eyes that bid them do
Her evil deeds both wanton and askew
That made the courtly man to rise
And sprout such fangs to cause demise
Of events unearthly jarred in haze
Of those transfixed inside her gaze
And all those tragic, noble folk
His kinsman who the villagers spoke
Of ghosts and witches and hounds from Hell
From Widows Hill the music swells
To Cobert's haunting salty theme
As crashing waves on rock still steam
To rise above life's mundane Hell
And in us finds an immortal place to dwell.
Angelique
Tormentor! My tormentor!
Deceiving wench from Hell!
With you, my cagey nemesis
From heaven's grace I fell
Object of lust and seething hate
Murderess of all I love!
Loathsome consort sealing fate
Disguised as a cooing dove
Bitter sweet was my surrender
Desire constant, never ending
Drowning in your kisses tender
Yielding to your charms unending
Gripped in verdant gazes, locking
Hearts entwined with ardor flowing
In our love dance gently rocking
Like the balmy zephyr blowing
Men will stray when fervor's gone
Forgotten promises ebb and fly
Innocence foolish, when all is done
The ways of passion are sly
Oh hardened heart, embittered soul
How thin the line tween love and hate
Daughter of darkness, spirit most foul
We met at Heaven and Hell's gate
Tormentor! My tormentor!
Deceiving wench from Hell!
With you, my cagey nemesis
From Heaven's grace I fell!
Object of lust and seething hate
Murderess of all I love!
Loathsome consort sealing fate
Disguised as a cooing dove.
Ever aware of your presence...Barnabas
