Donamarie is lying in the bathtub, with soap bubbles all around her. She is crying, and talking to her tiny baby warlock in her womb.
Nicholas has just entered the bath, and is standing there watching her.
She is gently and lovingly rubbing her tiny baby as she speaks. Her tender words start to melt Nicholas' heart of ice. No other woman, mortal or immortal, has ever touched his heart as this one. He comes to realize this, as he hears her loving words.
"My tiny baby son, please do not be afraid. Your father is not angry with you, never with you, my baby. Your father is angry with me. I am the one to be punished, my baby boy. Not you, never you my little Nicholas.." She cries.
She turns her head to the wall, and cries bitterly because of Gerard, and Nicholas' distrust of her. Her hands cover her face as she cries.
Suddenly Nicholas can see her life flash before him. He sees the day he first met her in London, a lifetime ago. He sees the very moment he first fell in love with the raven-haired beauty with the big blue eyes. He remembers the precious Christmas gift he gave her that year, the gift of his child. And he remembers the wedding they planned, and the tremendous heartache he felt at her tragic and untimely death, in which their baby died too.
Nicholas lost both of them that fateful winter day. He thought his world was crashing down upon him! He felt so lost and alone! He remembers all the lonely years he spent without her. He never fell in love again.
The most wonderful memory of all, was when she returned to him on another Christmas day! She was his Christmas angel!
His master returned her to life, and made her immortal, to be with warlock Nicholas Blair forever!
Nicholas realizes he can never hurt her. She is not like the common women of the streets he used to know. She is lovely, sweet and kind. She is the most beautiful and lovely woman he has ever had the pleasure to meet in his entire existence! She would never hurt or anyone or anything.
He remembers Daphnes' words to him. "Remember London, Nicholas... "You must blame Gerard.....Remember, Nicholas...remember your love for her.."
How could he think of hurting his precious angel??!! He is reminded of his love for her now. His heart swells with love for her once more. His heart skips a beat as he realizes that his tiny baby son is growing fast. He looks deeply inside her, into her womb to see their child. Saddness overcomes him as he sees the tiny baby crying , as his mother cries too!
Suddenly, Donamarie appears to lose conciousness. She quickly slips into the water. Her long dark hair is floating on top of the water.
Nicholas rushes to rescue her ! He pulls her head out of the water. Donamarie!! Are you alright, my dear??" He asks his bride. "What, what happened?" She asks Nicholas. "It appears you have fainted, Donamarie!"
He gently wipes the soap from her eyes. He kisses her sweetly on her lips. She looks at him with sorrow in her eyes, and love in her heart. "Oh please do not hate me, my Nicholas! I love you and our baby son so..!" She tells him, with tears in her eyes.
He looks at her with so much love in him! He is so much in awe of this woman before him. He loves her, and she loves him. And nothing on this earth, or not of this earth shall part them!
'I could never hate you, my dear! You are the best thing to happen to this warlock!" He kisses her once again. He picks her up from the soapy water. He holds her in his strong, magnificent arms. He quickly grabs a towel as he leaves the bath with her. He carries her down the stairs.
As they enter the parlor, he gently places her on the soft warm rug in front of the crackling fire. Donamarie shivers from the chill. Nicholas gently dries her wet and trembling body by the fire. As he pats each tender breast dry, he stops a moment to kiss each breast. He stops for a moment to kiss his unborn baby son. He continues to kiss his beautiful bride, not missing an inch of her delicate body.
Though it is winter, no snow has fallen at the house by the sea as yet. Donamarie has been waiting and hoping for snow. Nicholas knows this and is about to grant her wish.
As they lie in front of the fire, they are covered by the afghan from the sofa. Suddenly it starts to snow on them, big, white, fluffy snowflakes that sparkle like diamonds ! Mixed in with the snowflakes are thousands of red and pink rose petals. Donamarie shivers once more as the snow falls on her lovely face. She smiles as she sees the snow and smells the sweetness of the roses. Snow and roses are raining on them this night. And when the snow, and roses shower is at its heaviest, Nicholas Blair begins to make sweet, tender, and quite magical love to his wife, his lover, and the mother of his child.
