part 2 of ? NICK'S CHRISTMAS ANGEL
adult
She was approaching him. She carried a stack of presents in her arms. She wore a long, bright red cloak. Her hair was dark, like the raven, and long, like black silk. Nicholas offered to help the young lady with her packages. It seemed to him, she might drop them at any moment. "May I help you, my dear?" Nicholas asked. "I am Nicholas Blair, at your service." He bowed graciously to her.
"I am Donamarie. Thank you, Mr. Blair." Nicholas was amazed at her beauty. Her skin was like ivory, her eyes were as blue as the tranquil sea. Her lips were as red as the red rose. Her voice was as sweet as a childs.
"My carriage is just down the street." Nicholas told her. "Forgive me for staring, but you are the most beautiful woman I have ever seen!" She blushed at his remark.
Nicholas grinned in awe. They took the short ride home to Donamaries' house. It suddenly began to snow heavily. She invited him in for a light supper. Nicholas asked the beautiful young woman if he might call on her again. She smiled a lovely smile at him, and she said yes. He took her dainty hand, and kissed it gently. It was at that moment in time, that warlock Nicholas Blair fell in love, for the very first time.
Thay saw each other quite frequently after that. Nicholas tried to entertain her with his acts of sorcery. His new lady love did not approve of his black magic. She pleaded with him to stop. "I am a christian woman, Nicholas, my God does not believe in such things."
Donamarie asked him if he would spend Christmas with her. "Christmas is not a holiday that I celebrate, my dear. I will spend the day with you , but I shall not celebrate the holiday." "It shall be our holiday, Donamarie, yours and mine, a holiday for lovers." He told her.
"Nicholas, you are confusing this day with St. Valentine's Day." She replied.
He reached for her and gave her a warm, and luscious kiss. She returned his kiss passionately. The force of her kiss filled him with electricity, such as he had never felt before. He knew that this woman was for him. He looked into her beautiful blue eyes, and said to her, "Let me lie with you in your bed, my dear." Let me hold you and love you. Let me stay with you until the morning." 'Yes, my darling, but please, do not practice black magic tonight." She said. She led him to her bed, and she gave herself to him. He filled her trembling body with his powerful love. They slept not a wink this night. They made beautiful love to each other. He ran his fingers over her soft body, not missing an inch. He loved the smell of her neck, for it smelled of a thousand flowers, sweet and warm in the summer. She stared into his dark eyes. She saw his love for her in his eyes, full of excitement and passion. Something disturbed her though, in his dark eyes. There was a darkness there, waiting for her to surrender to it, and to him. To see this, frightened her. He would cover her with kisses, and love her once again.
The next morning, they awoke to children singing carols in the street. "Oh, Nicholas, they sound so beautiful. They sound like little angels." She exclaimed in her sweet voice. Nicholas looked at her beautiful body, and her long, dark hair. He thought, Donamarie, you are my angel. As a Christmas present, she gave Nicholas a red scarf and gloves. She knit them herself, they were thick, and very warm. Nicholas was touched by this.
"Have you a gift for me, Nicholas?" She asked him sweetly.
'I do, my dear, but it is not something you shall see right now. You can feel it though." He placed his hands on her womb. He held them there for a few minutes. Suddenly she felt movement, coming from within her. Her face went white. "This is my gift to you, Donamarie. I have given you my child, our child." "Will you marry me, my dear?" He asked his lady love.
Her eyes filled with tears. She answered him, "Yes!".
It was settled, Nicholas and Donamarie would marry before Valentines Day. Sadly though, the marriage did not take place. Donamarie had been hit by a runaway horse and carriage, while shopping for her wedding dress. Her beautiful white dress was found beside her lifeless body. Nicholas was devastated! He had never suffered such a terrible loss! He had never loved a mortal woman as he did her. He begged his Master to restore her life so he could be with her. His Master would not, for she did not believe in the dark power.
Nicholas awoke from his dream, which now had become a nightmare, with a start. He called her name. Only the darkness was there to answer him. A tear rolled down his handsome face. He slowly wiped it away. The next several weeks passed quickly for Nicholas. He kept himself very busy. He wanted to forget about Christmas. He could not, however, forget about his one true love.
It was Christmas Eve. Nicholas returned from a busy day. He had stopped by at the local liquor store to buy himself some brandy. He wanted to forget everything this night. He entered his dark house. He lit a single candle. The power was not out, but Nicholas preferred the candlelight. It was then he smelled her perfume. He heard her humming a lovely tune, a tune from a long, long time ago. Could it be, or am I dreaming once again? He thought. He took his candle in his hand, it flickered in the darkness. He walked to the corner of the room, and then he saw her. He saw his Christmas angel, Donamarie! She had returned to him!
