This story is total fiction.These events have not actually happened...
Humbert and Alexandra had returned from a long days work at the studio. They
sat in Humbert's apartment. They needed to relax. Alexandra kicked off her shoes
and sat down. Humbert remarked that it had been a particularly grueling day.
'Let's have some wine, Alex, what do you say?" Humbert asked her. "Yes, that
is exactly what I need right now."
"Today's work seemed so long, don't you think?" She asked him.
'That's because you wanted the week-end to begin, Alex." He told her with a smile.
"I won't lie to you, Humbert. Yes, it's true." She confessed.
They sat quietly for a while, relaxing in the quiet stillness of the luxurious apartment. Suddenly, Alexandra looked at Humbert. She had a strange look on her face. "What are you thinking about, Alex? What is going through your pretty head now?" He asked in wonder.
"Humbert, would you do something for me?" She asked the handsome actor.
"It depends on what it is, Alex." He replied.
She stood up from the chair, and looked at him intently. Then she told him, "Play Nicholas, for me." A look of amusement came to his face now.
"My, you are an adventurous young woman." He told her. His eyes began to sparkle.
'Please call me, Victoria." She stated. She reached for him, and took his hand. Again she repeated, PLay Nicholas, for me."
'Well, I've never been one to disappoint a lovely lady." He stood up, and his face began to darken . Slowly, the room began to darken, until there was no light. She could hear the lock turn in the door. There was a low, moaning sound in the apartment. She could hear screams from very far away. She could feel her hair standing up at the back of her neck. Goosebumps covered her arms. Suddenly, a single cande was lit magically, by an unseen hand, in the room.
Humbert, (playing Nicholas), was very still. He looked as if in a trance. He held both hands before him. 'Spirits of the dead, hear my call....you shall answer me, for I am your Master. You must obey my call. You shall answer me!" Suddenly, the screams and groaning became louder, and closer to them. "Yes, do not be afraid to come to me! You shall be safe with me! You shall leave your graves, and come, come to me here, in this room!" The screams and groans grew louder still, until Alexandra, (playing Victoria ) thought her ears would burst from the sound!
Then the room turned very cold, she could see her breath before her. Nicholas' eyes grew larger, and larger! His eyes did not blink. She began to shiver from the cold, for she wore only a sleeveless dress. The spirits were now in the room with them. 'Good spirits, I see you have obeyed my commands!" He stated.
