Sometimes even the innocent and pure can be tempted by evil. This is especially true when evil is disguised as a very handsome man. Such is the case of one woman who lives at Collinwood.

It is the month of October, and the place is Collinwood. It is built by the sea, in Collinsport, Maine.

Victoria Winters awakens, following a very strange dream. She looks at the clock on the table. It reads, three-fifteen a.m. I don't understand my dream, she thinks to herself. I was dreaming of Nicholas Blair. Why was I dreaming of him? She wonders.

In the dream, he was calling her, summoning her to his house by the sea. She does think Nicholas a handsome man; however, she knows he is evil as well. Why would I dream about such a man? He is not like Burke Devlin, or Jeff Clark. He is not like them at all, she thinks. Maybe that is what has attracted me to him. No, that can't possibly be. I would never be drawn to a man like him. He is an evil man. He's a dangerous man, too.

I think maybe he's cast a spell over me. I'm going over to see him in the morning, and tell what I think of him. I'm going to tell him to stay out of my dreams, and to leave me alone, she continues to think to herself.

In the morning, she showers and dresses. She brushes her long, dark hair until it shines. She takes an object from her dresser, and puts it in the pocket of her coat.

Once downstairs, she tells Carolyn she is going for a walk. Today is Saturday, and David has no lessons this day.

Vicki walks along the seashore for a while. She soon sees Nicholas' house. She walks to the front door, and with great resolve, and a lump in her throat, she knocks on the door. To her surprise, it is opened by Angelique. Her vampire curse has been lifted by Nicholas, the warlock.

'Why Miss Winters, whatever brings you here this morning?" She asks in a melodious voice. "I-I came to see Mr. Blair, Angelique. Is he here?" Vicki asks nervously. 'Why yes, yes he is. Come in Victoria." Angelique tells her.

Vicki enters the house cautiously. She looks around the room with suspicion. Angelique eyes her curiously. "What do you want to see Nicholas about?" She asks Vicki.

At that moment, the handsome warlock enters the room. "Miss Winters, what a lovely surprise my dear! He smiles at her with his charming smile. What can I do for you today?" He asks her, still smiling.

Vicki looks at Nicholas in anger. 'I want you to stay out of my dreams, Nicholas Blair." She states in a voice that trembles. "I want you to leave me alone." She bites her bottom lip as she speaks.

Nicholas pretends ignorance. "Why Victoria, whatever do you mean? He asks. I guess I should be flattered, shouldn't I...that you would dream of me." He smiles again. "No, it wasn't a good dream. It was was strange and disturbing." She tells him.

Angelique looks at Nicholas and smiles an evil smile.

'You were trying to hurt me, I think. Vicki tells him. I know I was very frightened of you. She states.

Nicholas walks over to Vicki, and takes her gently by the arm. "You found me quite irrisistable too, didn't you? He tells her. Come sit down on the sofa, Vicki." He instructs. "No I don't want to. I'm not going to stay." She replies nervously.

"Sit down, Miss Winters." Nicholas commands. Vicki suddenly feels she has no choice. She sits down. Nicholas sits beside her.

Angelique sits across from them in her chair. She is eyeing their visitor with extreme curiousity. Vicki looks at Nicholas and her heart begins to beat faster. She can't get over his powerful dark eyes. They seem to look inside her. 'I want you to leave me alone Nicholas. She says in a small voice. I've never caused you any trouble." She tells him.

Vicki turns from Nicholas, to look at Angelique, who is eyeing her most curiously. Vicki is feeling very uneasy in this room with these two evil persons. "I want you to leave Maggie Evans alone! She tells him. I saw in the dream that you plan to use her for your evil plans!" Her voice begins to raise a little now. I want you to know that I don't like what you're planning, Nicholas. I won't let it happen! She tells him. What are your plans for the Collins family? She asks him. Do you plan on hurting them too?" She asks once again.

"Victoria, Victoria...you sound like a hysterical young woman. He says soothingly. He begins stroking her dark hair. You have lovely hair, my dear. Don't you know how I love dark-haired women?" He tells her.

"Don't touch me!" Vicki tells him.

"Don't be afraid of me, Vicki. He says quietly once again. I am not going to hurt you."

Nicholas continues to stroke her hair, in spite of her protests. She looks at him with fear in her eyes. "What are you afraid of Vicki? Nicholas asks her. What do you think I shall do to you? He asks with a sparkle in his eyes. Do you think I might bite you my dear? He asks her, smiling wickedly. You can rest assured, my dear Victoria, I shall not do that. Stay and visit with us a while, Vicki, and I will ease your troubled mind, my dear." He suggests to her.

"No, I think I should return to Collinwood. She replies. They will be waiting for me."

Nicholas takes his hand, and places it under her chin. "No Victoria, you will not leave right now. You and I must have a long talk." He tells her. "But I must, I have to leave right now!" She protests.

She turns to go, as Nicholas grabs her by her coat. She can feel the coat rip. "I told you to stay Victoria, Nicholas commands. You WILL stay here with me."

Vicki looks at Nicholas in horror.
