Vick has been saved, for the moment, by the little girl. 'Miss Winters, please wake up!" The little girls exclaims, Miss Winters, I made that bad man go away!" Suddenly Vicki awakens to see the blurry vision of a small girl, about eight years old. As her vision starts to clear, Vicki realizes that she knows this little girl. She is the ghost of Sarah Collins. She is Barnabas' little sister.
Vicki quickly sits up in bed. She is rather weak from her near death experience. 'Sarah, am I glad to see you!" Vicki exclaims to the young spirit. Sarah appears in her human form now. Vicki embraces the little girl. "Sarah you've saved my life, do you know that? she tells the little girl.
'Yes, I couldn't let that bad man hurt you, Sarah tells her. I know Barnabas would want me to save you too, Sarah tells her. I am going to get you out of this bad house, "Sarah states.
"But how, Sarah, I don't know how we can, " Vicki says with worry.
"I know how, Sarah says. Nicholas and Angelique are evil, are they not? What are evil people afraid of, Miss Winters?
'They are afraid of God, Vicki tells her.
'Yes, God and goodness too," says Sarah.
"What do you mean, Sarah, I don't understand, Vicki replies.
"You have the power to fight them Vicki..if you want to," Sarah tells her.
Vicki can't possibly imagine what little Sarah means by this. How on earth can she escape Nicholas and Angelique?
"Miss Winters, look in the pocket of your coat," Sarah tells her. Vicki looks at her curiously, and walks to the closet. She looks in the right pocket of her coat. She has found it..her salvation! Vicki has found a silver crucifix, given to her from the foundling home, where she grew up. Vicki had placed the crucifix in her pocket before she left Collinwood, and she'd completely forgotten about it.
"Yes Sarah, I can use this, Vick states with joy; I had completely forgotten about it. Thank you for reminding me, Vicki says, I would be dead now, if it wasn't for you, Vicki tells her with gratitude.
"You were always kind to me, Vicki, so I wanted to help you, " Sarah says.
Vicki had seen Sarah Collins when she traveled back in time to 1795. She was a wonderful little girl, and now a heroine. "Now let's get out of this evil house," Vicki exclaims in fear.
The conclusion....
Vicki is holding the cross as she tries the bedroom door. To her great surprise, the door opens. Vicki and Sarah walk out of the room and cautiously look around. Vicki is still wearing the pale blue gown Nicholas had given her, over the gown she is wearing her coat.
Suddenly they spot Angelique. Angelique looks at them sternly. She calls to Nicholas. "Vicki has escaped her room, Nicholas!" she shouts to him. Nicholas is there in an instant.
He looks at Vicki and Sarah with apparent anger on his handsome face. 'Get back to your room ,Victoria," he commands.
Vicki looks at him defiantly and says, "No I will not!" As she speaks she holds the crucifix before her. Nicholas and Angelique instinctively turn away at the sight of it.
'TAKE THAT AWAY!" Nicholas orders.
"You will be sorry you've done that!" Angelique threatens.
'I will not take this away," Vicki tells them. You two are so evil and wicked. You want to ruin the Collins' family! You want to hurt Maggie too. Now you want to kill me and make me evil as you!" Vicki looks at them with fury now. Nicholas, I will NEVER be your lost love! I am not evil like you are," she continues. I love the Collins family, they are my family too.
"I curse the day you two ever came to Collinwood!" Vicki says.
"Put that hideous thing away, and we shall talk about it, Vicki." Nicholas commands. Vicki remains firm in her resolve, "If you had your way, God only only knows what would happen to the people of Collinsport. You two are pure evil! "The people here are good people, and they don't need or want you here! I hope and pray that neither of you have children.! They will be evil as you! The thought of having your children terrifies me Nicholas! To think I thought you to be handsome! She fumes at him. Ohhhh, the devil does put evil in a nice package." Vicki tells him.
Little Sarah says to them, 'You were going to kill Miss Winters! I won't let you do that! You are both very, very bad!" Sarah yells at them.
"We are leaving this house, and I am going back to Collinwood. Vicki tells the evil warlock and witch. You will not stop me or Sarah!" Vicki continues to hold the crucifix before her. "I will never forgive you for what you've tried to do to me, and I will never forget either! "
Vicki looks at Nicholas and Angelique with fierce determination. "I hope you never show your faces at Collinwood again," Vicki tells the warlock and witch.

Vicki and Sarah leave the little house by the sea.
They vow never to return again. Once they are safely outside, and away from
Nicholas and Angelique, Vicki stops to talk to little Sarah. "I don't know how
to thank you for
saving me. I owe my life to you, Sarah."
Vicki smiles at the little girl, Sarah smiles back at her. "Will you come and visit me at the old house, Sarah asks. We can visit Barnabas together," says Sarah.
"Yes Sarah, I would love to do that," Vicki replies. Vicki gives the little girl a big hug and says to her, " You come by and visit me at Collinwood whenever you want to, Sarah," Vicki tells her with a warm and tender smile.
"Alright Miss Winters, I will," says Sarah.
"Call me Vicki," she tells her.
"Goodbye Vicki," Sarah greets her, as she returns to her spirit form.
"Goodbye sweet Sarah," Vicki calls to her, as the vision of Sarah slowly disappears.

Vick arrives at Collinwood, looking quite weary and
distraught. Roger, Elizabeth, and Carolyn question her endlessly about "her
whereabouts", for the last several days. Vicki looks at the three of them, with
love and gratitude in her heart, and says, You wouldn't believe me if I told
you! You absolutely would not believe it,"
She tells them.
The three members of the Collins family look at her with concern and love. Elizabeth says to Vicki, "Come in darling. You've always seemed like a daughter to me." Elizabeth hugs and kisses Vicki on her cheek.

Back at Blair house, Nicholas and Angelique are scowling at one another. 'Well Nicholas, it seems that you did not get your Victoria, after all," Angelique says to him with a wry smile.
"And I suppose that makes you quite happy, my dear, doesn't it," he sneers.
'Well, at least I shall not have to compete with her anymore, shall I ? " Angelique states to him.
Nicholas makes no comment about that. "Nicholas, you have been avoiding me the last few days, Angelique complains. I am beginning to feel neglected."
Nicholas turns to look at the beautiful witch. "Yes, I suppose I have, my dear. How lovely you look, Angelique, he says with a wink at her. Let's go out into the night...out into the darkness. We shall see what kind of demons we can "scare up", he suggests wickedly.
"Let's go into the village, Angelique suggests. There is a wonderful cemetary there."
"Yes, that is precisely what we shall do, my dear," sas Nicholas to Angelique, as he whispers in her ear.
The warlock and the witch leave Blair house together, and quickly disappear into the cold, dark night.
Angelique is still herself, and Nicholas, may he never change.
