Episode 1: The ride home from the Collinwood Ball

It's now 10:00pm. Maggie has just left the Collinwood Ball and opens the door to her car. She is drunk and very cold. She decides to turn on the heat and drives home. While driving home she thinks of Joe Haskell sitting in the Hospital after his car accident. Maggie isn't paying attention to the road while her mind wanders somewhere else. I hope Joe recovers, Maggie thinks to herself. Maggie starts to feel drowsy. She keeps blinking her eyes while watching the road. All of a sudden Maggie falls asleep and the car goes off the road and down this hill. Then the car crashes into a tree causing Maggie's head to hit the steering wheel. Maggie is now leaning on the door. When Maggie comes to she sees that the front of the car is on fire. She opens the door and crawls away from the car not realizing that her shoes fell off near the car. She crawls deep into the woods where the fire can't be seen. The head injury and effects of the alcohol prevents Maggie from seeing straight. Maggie is so tired from crawling that she falls to the ground and just lays there. All of a sudden out of nowhere comes this lady. Maggie can't see her clearly because it's so dark out.

Maggie: "Help me please." The women bends down, takes her shoes off and puts them on Maggie. Maggie still can't get a good look at her.

Women: "I gave you my shoes because yours got caught in the fire. You do need help. So do the people around you. I'll help you, but I have to tell you something very important." As the women begins to tell her Maggie falls unconscious. When Maggie comes to she's on her doorstep.

"How did I get here so fast," Maggie says to herself.

Sam is inside his house painting when he hears a knock at the door. He puts his paint brush on the board and answers the door. Sam: "Maggie, are you alright honey?"

Maggie limps to the sofa and sits down to catch her breath. She then leans her head on the pillow. Sam runs into the kitchen. He turns on the faucet and runs the warm water. He then rinses a cloth and rings it out. He runs back into the living room and applies it to her head.

Sam: "Maggie, you've been drinking. Did someone drive you home?"

Maggie: "No, I drove myself home."

Sam: "Maggie, how could you drink and drive!!! You know better than that. You could have killed someone, or yourself." Sam applies a band-aid to the cut on her head.

Maggie: "Dad, I don' know what's wrong with me. Lately I haven't been acting myself. It's just that I've been so worried about Joe that I haven't been able to think straight."

Sam: "I know that you worried about Joe, but your driving youself crazy. Was there any police at the scene of the accident?"

Maggie: "No, but there was this one lady there. I asked her if she could help me and she said that I'm not the only one that needs help. She said something about the people around me that need help. If you ask me I think she was a little nutty. I didn't get a good look at her face. It was to dark in the woods. She said she had something important to tell me, but when she started talking I passed out. When I came to I was right here infront of our house. That women must have brought me here."

Sam: "Oh my, well is there anything you need?"

Maggie: "I'm fine dad."

Sam: "Why don't you sleep on the sofa tonight so I can be close to you if you need anything."

Maggie: Ok Dad, i'll take the sofa. I don't know what I would do with out you."

Sam: Ok , goodnight sweety."

Sam walks into his bedroom and closes the door. Maggie reaches to the lamp and turns it off. She makes herself comftorble and trys to go to sleep. Her feet are uncomftorble so she slides her shoes off. All of a sudden Maggie remembers something. She reaches over to the lamp and turns it on. "That lady gave me her shoes," Maggie says to herself. Maggie bends down and picks up the shoes. They look very old fashion, but there in good condition. There in her size too which is strange. Maggie looks at the shoe closely. All of a sudden she gets a strange look on her face. The shoes were made in 1795. Maggie stares at the shoes in shock.
