Episode 2: Maggie's Investigation
It's a new morning. Maggie is already up getting dressed. Sam is in the kitchen making Coffee. Maggie walks into the kitchen with the shoes in her hand.
Sam: "How are you feeling?"
Maggie: "I have a headache, but I'll live. There's something that I wanted to ask you."
Sam: What did you want to ask me?"
Maggie: Is it possible that shoes made in 1795 can be in mint condition?"
Sam: "If it's well protected and not used.
Maggie: Yeah, but the lady who gave them to me was already wearing them."
Sam: "How about if I have a look." Maggie hands the shoes to Sam. Sam puts his glasses on and looks at them carefully. Sam: "This is strange. maybe these shoes are new, but were made to look old."
Maggie: "Maybe you're right, but why would they be dated to 1795?"
Sam: "I know as much as you do. Why dont you take these shoes to the shoemaker in town and maybe he could tell you a thing, or two."
Maggie: Ok, I'll do that. I'm going to walk to town so I'll see you later."
Maggie walks out of the house knowing very well that she's going to the scene of the accident. While walking Maggie starts to think about Joe and starts to get sentimental. She plans to visit him later, but she has somethings to take care of first. She finally arrives at the scene of the accident. Her car is completly destroyed. Maggie's eyes start to water because Joe gave her the car as a gift. "Joe would be angry if he found out I was drinking and driving," Maggie says to herself. All of a sudden a narrow trail catches Maggies eye. She starts to follow it. She becomes frightend because she doesn't know where this trail will lead to. It's becoming very cloudy outside now. Finally the trail ends at an open meadow. Maggie looks up and can see the Old House in the distance. That's not the only thing she can see. She can see a women dressed up in black walking towards the house. Maggie yells out at her.
Maggie: "Excuse me, Miss!!!!"
The lady turns around and can see Maggie. After seeing Maggie the lady starts to run towards the Old House really fast. Maggie chases after her. The lady runs into he Old House and closes the door behind her. Maggie finally arrives at the Old House out of breath. Maggie opens the door and walks in. Everything seems quiet in there.
Maggie: "Hello, is anybody here?"
No one answers. Maggie decides to check the upstairs. When she gets up there she can see a door slightly opened. She walks towards the door and opens it. It's a flight of stairs which leads to the Attic. Maggie walks up there. When Maggie gets up there she doesn't notice anything unusual abot the room. It looks like a regular bedrom accept with a couch and a table, Maggie walks to the other side of the room and can feel a loose plank beneath her feet. She looks at it carefuly. She looks at it strangly wondering why someone would leave a loose plank on the floor. Maggie lifts it up and reveals something interesting. She finds a cross and a half of a letter, The letter reads
Dear Barnabas,
I hid this letter under the plank with the cross so she wouldn't come near it. Barnabas I'll be dead by tommorow, but you can save yourself. It's not going to be easy though. Everytime she comes back she's more evil and more powerful. She knows everyones deepest fears and she knows how to read minds. Now listen to me. This is the most important part of the letter. You................
The rest of the letter is incomplete. Someone stole the other half of the letter. Maggie is really frightend now,
