Episode 3: The continuation of Maggie's investigation.

After reading the half letter Maggie starts to feel mystical. She puts the letter in her pocket book and leaves the Attic. Maggie is now in the upstairs hallway. She sees a Portrait of Jerimiah and the Collinwood home behind him. Maggie takes a closer look at the painting. She notices that Jerimiahs eyes look pitch black. Maggie looks closer and realizes that there peeping holes. Maggie looks into them. It's really dark in there. All of a sudden Maggie sees someone's eyes staring back at her from the peeping holes. Maggie screams and runs downstairs and out the door. Maggie runs straight to Collinwood. When she gets there she catches her breath and knocks on the door. Inside the Collinwood home Cassandra is getting ready to go upstairs when she hears a knock at the door.

Cassandra: "Hello, who is it?"

Maggie: It's Maggie Evans."

Cassandra roles her eyes and opens the door. Cassandra: "Hello Maggie, may I help you?"

Maggie: "Is Barnabas here?"

Cassandra: "No, he went with Julia to visit Joe."

Maggie: "Is Roger, or Liz here?"

Cassandra: "No, Roger and Liz took David to Pittsburg, Pennsylvania. They'll be gone for a week. I'm here by myself."

Maggie: "Oh, Cassandra were you her last night?"

Cassandra: "Yes, why do you ask?"

Maggie: "I ask because I was in a car accident last night."

Cassandra: "Oh, I'm sorry to hear that, but what does that have to do with me?"

Maggie: "There was this women there who was trying to tell me something, but I passed out. When I came too I was at my house. I assume she brought me there. And today when I came to the Old House I saw this women in the distance. When I called out to her she started to run from me. She ran inside the Old House and I followed her, but when I came inside the house and called out to her she didn't answer me. I think she's hiding in there. I also have to tell Barnabas something.

Cassandra: "What do you have to tell him?"

Maggie: "Well, it's what I have to show him."

Cassandra: "Can I see?"

Maggie: "OK, I'll show you."

Maggie reaches into her pocket book and pulls out the letter and gives it to Cassandra. Cassandra starts to unfold it and reads it. Cassandra: "Sounds like this person is trying to warn Barnabas about this women. She sounds dangerous, but where's the other half of the letter?"

Maggie: "I don't know, I'm going to look into this further. Something doesn't sound right. May I use the phone to call a cab?"

Cassandra: "Yes, you may."

Maggie walks into the Drawing room to use the phone while Cassandra stands in the entry and starts talking to herself in a whisper.

Cassandra: "Maggie better keep her nose out of this before I kill her like I killed Josette. I know Josette wrote that letter in 1795. She tried to warn Barnabas but it was to late. Back then Josette thought I was evil, but thats nothing compared to now. Anyone who crosses me will pay true Hell. I wonder where the other half of that letter is."

Maggie walks back into the entry from the Drawing room. Maggie: "Bye Cassandra."

Cassandra: "Bye"

Maggie closes the door behind her and waits outside for the cab.

It's now 7:00pm. After running a couple of erins Maggie decides to go to the shoe makers shop. She opens the door. Maggie: "Hello Benjamen."

Benjamen: "Oh, hi Maggie. Your father just called. He said that you wanted to ask me about some shoes."

Maggie: "Yes, I do."

Maggie pull the shoes out of a bag and hands them to Benjamen.

Maggie: "These shoes were made in 1795. How can they be in mint condition if they had been used already?"

Benjamen looks at them carfully. Benjamen: I've done my research, but this is odd.

Maggie: "Tell me about it."

Benjamen: No, I mean this is strange that you have them. There were only 2 pairs of these shoes made."

Maggie: "How come there were only 2 pairs maid.

Benjamen: I saw these shoes in an old book. The designer originally made it for this women right here in Collinsport and the designer's wife liked them so much that he made a pair for her. The women who he originally made the shoes for vanished without a trace. She was assomed to be dead. I'm just curious at how you got one of the two pairs of shoes.

Maggie: Well this lady gave them to me, but she was alredy wearing them before she gave them to me."

Benjamen: "That's odd." All of a sudden the phone rings. Benjamen picks it up. Benjamen: "Ross's Shoes" After saying that Benjamen gets a look of fear on his face. Maggie start to wonder about Benjamen. Benjamen doesn't say anything on the phone. It seems like he's doing all the listening. He finally puts down the phone.

Maggie: "Ben, is something wrong?' Ben just stares at her.

Benjamen: "Let me find out the price value of these shoes."

Benjamen grabs a piece of paper and folds it in half. On oneside of the paper he writes the price value of the shoes. On the other side of the paper he turns his pencil upside down and uses the eraser to write a mesage to Maggie. He then gives it to Maggie without telling her the message.

Benjamen: "Sorry I have to cut this short, but something came up. I'm going to have to close the store for tonight. Here's the price value of the shoes. Will you like to come back tommorow?"

Maggie: "Yes Ben, I'll be back tommorow. I'll read the price value when I have time tonight. I hope everthing is okay." Ben doesn't say anything. Maggie takes the folded paper that Ben gave her and puts it in her pocket book. She then leaves the store. After Maggie leaves Benjamen starts crying and talking to himself. Benjamen: Please Maggie, you have to find that hidden message. A few minutes later after Benjamen has cleaned up his store and turned off all the lights. Someone walks in. Benjamen turns around and sees the person. He then starts crying. Benjamen: "I didn't tell Maggie anything. I swear."
