Subj: In The Dark -- 7

Episode 7: Maggie has a bad feeling about Benjamin.
Maggie has arrived home from visiting Joe. She walks in and closes the door behind her. Maggie: "Dad, are you hear?" Sam: "I'm in my bedroom." Sam walks into the living room and greets Maggie.
Sam: " How is Joe doing?"
Maggie: "He's fine dad."
Sam is quick to notice the bruise on Maggie's head.
Sam: " How did you get that bruise on your head?"
Maggie: "Someone attacked me in Joe's room."
Sam: "Are you alright?"
Maggie: " Yes"
Sam: "Why did this person attack you?"
Maggie: I don't know. When I walked into Joes room all the lights were turned off and I could see this person running toward the window. When I asked the person what they were doing here they didn't answer me. When I asked the person to identify them self the person turned around and hit me over the head with something. I didn't get a good look at the person because the lights were turned off."
Sam: "Did they catch the person?"
Maggie: "No"
Sam: "Maggie I don't get why your having all this bad luck lately. I'm beginning to get worried about you."
Maggie: "I don't know either."
Sam: "Did you get the information you needed from Benjamin?"
Maggie: "Oh, that reminds me of something."
Maggie reaches into her pocket book and takes the folded paper out which has the price value and the hidden message Ben slipped her. Before Maggie looks at the price value Maggie Starts to tell Sam about Ben's strange behavior.
Maggie: "Ben was acting very strange."
Sam: "Oh really?"
Maggie: Yeah, it all started when he received this phone call. While on the phone I could tell he was scared. When he got off the phone I asked him what was wrong, but he said that everything was fine. I can tell by te way he was acting that something was wrong. I'm going to call him in a few minutes after I read this price value that he wrote me. Maggie unfolds the paper and reads it. Maggie adds the years up times the shoe price and learns that the shoes are worth 19,000 dollars.
Maggie: "Oh my God."
Sam: "What's wrong?"
Maggie: "These shoes are worth 19,000 dollars."
Sam: "What"
Maggie: "I can't believe this. I never held a pair of shoes this exspensive."
Sam: "What are you going to do with them?"
Maggie: "I don't know. I can't understand why that lady gave me these expensive shoes.
Sam: "Maybe she was being generous since you lost your shoes in the fire."
Maggie: "It still doesn't make sense. Why would a women walk around the woods with expensive shoes on and risc getting them ruined?"
Sam: "This story about the shoes gets weirder and weirder."
Maggie: "And to top it off these shoes are in mint condition without one scratch or crumb of dirt on them. How can a women walk through the woods without getting dirt on the souls of her shoes?"
Sam: "Maggie your begining to freak me out. How about if we search for this women tommorow."
Maggie: "Yeah because I got scared searching for her myself and I want to know why she gave me these shoes. Dad there's one more thing I didn't tell you."
Sam: "What is it?"
Maggie: "Ben told me that there was another pair of shoes like these made."
Sam: "No wonder why there so expensive."
Maggie: They were originally made for this women here in Collinwood, but she vanished 173 years ago. The designers wife liked the shoes so much that he made her a pair. I either have the shoes of the women who vanished, or I have the designes wife's shoes, but no matter what there's still another pair out there.
Sam: "I'm going to bed. I feel drousy."
Maggie: "Good night dad."
Sam: Good honey. We'll look for that women tommorow." Sam walks into his room and shuts his door.
Maggie looks at the price value one more time. She then balls it up and throws it away. All of a sudden the phone rings. Maggie picks it up.
Maggie: "Hello" Maggie can hear a women crying.
Ava: "He's....he's.....he's......he's dead."
Maggie: "Who's this?"
Ava: "My husband is dead. Someone killed him."
Maggie: "I can't help you if you don't tell me your name."
Ava continous to cry ad then the phone disconnects.
Maggie: "Hello is anyone there?"
No one on the other line responds and Maggie hangs up the phone. Maggie starts talking to herself. Maggie: "That women said that her husband was dead. Her voice sounded so familiar. It sounded a lot like.......Ava!!! oh my God." When Maggie realizes that it was Ava on the phone she starts to panic.
