Here's a poem about Barnabas. It's called "I'm The Night"
"If you were in my shoes you would see.
The sight of the sun has been a distant memory to me.
For centuries I've gone without seeing daylight.
I guess you can say that I'm the night."
"I prey upon beautiful women while they sleep.
I open my mouth and bite into them real deep.
When I summon them they yearn for my bite.
I guess you can say that I'm the night."
"Will it get better, or will it get worse?
I don't know if I can escape from this curse.
Will someone with a stake come where I lie?
Then drive it through my heart until I die."
"Maybe there's hope for me in sight.
Until then, I'm the night."
