The raging tides of Collinwood were pouring on one afternoon as many afternoons had passed by Wnydcilffe. This day was no different from any other in particular. From the storms you could hear the lighting and thunder, and beyond the distance not far away one could hear the tides clashing against the rocks, almost like a synchronized symphony of music. The lighting, thunder, crashing of the roars to her constituted the sounds of different instruments harmonized with the natural voices of those from nature. The trees swaying, the desolation yet at the end of the storm would be the beginnings. The sun shining above the beauty of the blue ocean, the soft white clouds transformed from the heaven above and in the onset of sunset a rainbow of different colors perfected to that only of heaven she thought. So when the storm subsided and she looked above the blue sky with gazing eyes, she smiled. The gates of heaven open upon to me I hear you call. Julia humbled knelt down on her knees thankful she was a part of the living day and night. She never took life for granted but she didn't partake of the living day either, somewhere in limbo except when others were of concerned. Julia's attributes are a great woman were paramount. Her courage, devotion, and compassion for others exceeded what many in a life time could dream of. People as Julia were often only heard of in story books or legends. But in the modern world she thought how little one takes into account the importance of such virtues. And that of humility. she for her accomplishments was a truly modest person. She didn't elevate herself beyond others. And in the big picture of life at Collinwood her greatness was often overlooked by those who knew her. For they just knew that was a part of Julia's character. They were used to her. But from the point of the outsider, her virtues were seen in greatness as they should by those before her. Those at Collinwood loved her so and respected Julia. Knowing the Collins she had a built in family one could say. But she still never had the intimacy those born at Collinwood had. For she had no family and therefore had to go alone in the world for a while until she met the Collins. But some of her patients did rival in her greatness and extolled her to the levels she deserved. But being the modest person she was, she never reveled in it. But she did think of this night besides the ocean, she was below Widow's Hill surrounded by the softness of the wilderness around her. She loved to come here and contemplate. Sometimes , when she did become sad some part of her life had not been complete, she remembered she was one of the lucky ones she had the opportunity to delight in the day, she was able to touch, feel, think, smile, and love those things that were in front of her. Sometimes Julia was pragmatic saw these as gifts. Hoping no one was looking she smiled at the heavens, looked at blueness of the ocean, took her hands and took the earth in her hand. Yes, I am here. I am living. Thereupon with humility and gratitude to her maker, she knelt down before him and gave prayers of thanks. Julia had seen the ill, sick, and dying, suffering. Being here at the edge of Widow's hill she heard the music and gave thanks. She thought, "People don't think that people like us who are responsible, and pragmatic are passionate, far from the truth. This in fact gives us our strength in life. Julia was very fond of music and thought its derivation heavenly. A strong person I may be, but not a fool nor for lack of appreciation of life ," she laughed. Sometimes because we are not one way before the general world does not mean we do not see, think or feel. Well, the world is full of fools too Many people don't know me, but I do."
One of Julia's other little secrets was her love of music. She felt its heavenly inspiration and presence and felt her soul nourished as she listened. She just was such a private person, no one knew. Her appreciation of music even astounded her. When she listened to music, she saw the sky and was transformed into the ascents of heaven wherein her soul rejoiced. She had become this way, since he had not contained her hurt within the confines of her heart. Therein, as many humans she was able to partake in the adventure of life as the journey of which she is voyager.
Her tenacity, persistence, and sense of justice were paramount. She above all sought to help those who by their own virtue were of humble and goodness in their nature. Such virtues were rare in the realms of life. And anything she would have to do to help her patients or friends attain such status were so embed in her soul, she had the courage to be fearless in the attainment of such.
People had this stereotyped imagine in their minds that doctors were cold, scientific, and devoid of any humanity or higher conscienceness. When people thought her this way, she, Julia, didn't care. However, when, others had confronted Dr. Halstead he was this way devoid of any humanity, this was his one sensitivity, he would snap back and become defensive in his demeanor.
