Barnabas looked at the letter from his daughter over and over. He was in a state of shock in regard to being endowed with the supernatural powers . A sense of horror came over him in that regard. Once as a vampire he had supernatural powers and he was inhuman in that regard. Once as a vampire he had supernatural powers and he was in agony. He thought that to be happening again here. And now again, he had supernatural powers as a warlock. But why was this so necessary? Could he trust the letter. A sense of misery overcame him, all the suffering brought by the evil of the supernatural. Could these powers be from the heavens? Frankly, he didn't believe of such a concept. There was no such a thing as that from good sources. Was his own daughter an agent of the devil? Barnabas thought about his own daughter with a sense of melancholy. Had his own family been cursed again? He hadn't expected to fight the supernatural from withink his own immediate family. Would he have to destroy his daughter? The horror was beyond his own expectations. This would be even more of a horrible curse than that of 1795. And Julia .... could they destroy their own child... an agent of the devil...oh no And now he too possessed those powers. All the suffering he felt would begin soon and suddenly the figure of a ghost appeared to him.. It was the figure of Naomi Collins stood before her sullen son, Barnabas and that of a tearful Julia, Naomi appeared before both of them.
"Barnabas the letter before you is not a trick. Your daughter Nicole is devoted to both of you. Go back and save her. She needs your help. Be not afraid of those supernatural powers. They are endowed by the heavens not from the pits of Hades. For many years, I saw the suffering of my beloved son, Barnabas, I cried and prayed for protection. My prayers were answered. Julia Hoffman was decreed by destiny to be your wife Barnabas. She possessed the elements of loyalty, unconditional love, courage- things that you needed in a wife, Barnabas. Protect and be good to her as you have been my son, she is deserving of such. She is a creature that needs to be protected and loved for what she had done for you my son. I am happy for that. Now both of you be not fearful of these powers. Use them to help your family and protect the Collins family survive. These powers have been granted as a thwart to counter the evil powers that seek to destroy our family."
Before Barnabas could speak to her mother, she disappeared. He started to sob. Julia went over to him and comforted him. Julia replied, "Barnabas be glad that your mother appeared before you. I know it huts to see her go, those parts of your life that wree taken from you i am so sorry. But right now my love we need to go after Nicole, our daughter and save her."
