The ghost of Sarah Collins appeared before Barnabas and Julia. Barnabas had not seen his sister since she had scolded him about learning to be good . Sarah indicated that she woudl return to Barnabas when he was good. Sarah led Barnabas and Julia into one of the rooms upstairs of the Old House. All of the sudden, a transformation took place, furniture appeared with the figure of Adam inside the room. Barnabas and Julia walked into the room. They entered the parallel time, they hoped their daughter would be there. The figure of Sarah continued to lead them further into the drawing room. Sarah spoke to her brother , " Barnabas, you have learned to be good, I am so proud of you, Nicole your daughter is in danger, she won't recognize you when you see her so you and Julia must somehow be very careful around her. She has lost her memory and has no recollection of who you are. She is being taken care of by Adam, of who she doesn't remember that much about him either."
Barnabas surprised turned around to see that the house had been restored to a modest state. Nicole and Adam had been living in the Old House since their entrapment into this time by Blair. "When you return back to your own time I will be there to help you, right now she needs you." Barnabas turned to Adam and blamed him for this tragedy but Julia intervened. She told Barnabas to calm his anger. Adam told them that Blair was responsible for this.
Adam replied, I don't know how I got here but suspect Blair is behind this and used me to get Nicole in this time for some reason for some evil purpose. I will work with you anyway I can to help Nicole. She was trying to get me back to Carolyn. Your daughter has been wonderful. Apparently Nicole loved to fly and she flew one of the planes in town. The airplane had a mechanical problem and crashed. Nicole was thrown out of the plane and lost her memory. Dr. Woodard, the Collins family and I have been working with her to try to get her memory back. She screams around Dr. Woodard and I don't know why. Nicole refused treatment of any kind and says she needs time to think and she will be fine. I don't know what to do with her Julia, she has been stubborn and refused any help. She just goes to the ocean every day and takes walks, plays the piano, and sings. Julia can you help
Julia thanked Adam and asked that she and Barnabas be allowed solely to work with their daughter. But reluctantly, Julia agreed to help Adam get back to their time and established at Collinwood.
Barnabas and Julia when they heard about Dr. Woodard they were filled with horror. The simplest thing to do, Julia thought, was to go back to their own time and their daughter could be cured there. So Julia with powers of the supernatural willed her daughter to be under her control. Julia called out for Sarah who appeared, and Adam, Julia , Barnabas, and Nicole followed Sarah back to their own time.
Reluctantly, at Julia's prompting, Adam became a house guest at the Old House, and led Nicole back to her room. Julia and Barnabas explained to Nicole they were her parents and she had been suffering from an accident and had no memory. Nicole believed them but still was lost and without direction, a lost soul. Julia and Barnabas now prepared to help their daughter regain her memory and keep her safe from the evil of Nicholas Blair.
