Nicole couldn't resist the temptation to bring her natural father back Dr. Woodard from the dead . After all , she had the ability to do . She wanted to know her father, his likes, dislikes, what type of man he was, what his hopes and aspirations were. She wanted to see if she was like him in any way. She had been warned about resurrecting the dead from their resting places or interfering with fate. She was determine to ignore that and see for herself what her father,Dr. Woodard was like.
She would have to go to Barnabas first and tell him her intentions toward Woodard. He had to know. Lately, since her return from Parallel time, when she had seen Woodard in that time, she was besides herself . She had to know her father that was taken from her when she was kidnapped.
Her relationship with Barnabas had changed since she did return. This was her doing. She avoided him especially after her marriage to Charles. Nicole, once the apple of Barnabas' eye turned away from him.
She even question her own motives for why she wanted to do this.
Her relationship with Barnabas become almost estranged. The only way she knew how to handle the situation was to put in long hours at Wyndcliffe. By doing so her own marriage to Charles was estranged.
Imagine being in the house , a strange in the midst of people. She saw no other alternative than to go back into time or go back into the hands of Adam.
There was one other choice. Dr. Halstead.
Charles full of tears, was besides himself. He and Nicole were strangers sharing the same bed. Not since the beginnings of their marriage, had Nicole turned to him. She still loved him so, she gave him kisses at Wyndcliffe, but then she would become sullen, withdrawn, and shut him out from the world.
He saw no other alternative than to turn to Barnabas and Julia for help.
