Finally Barnabas and Julia were alone. Charles and Nicole were romantically involved themselves. And Barnabas had Willie look after the boys on this eve so he could spend some well deserved time with his wife. Barnabas and Julia had been through quite an ordeal over Woodard's ghost. And the fact, that the ordeal was not still over, both he and Julia were exhausted and had little time to be reflective.
But even with the crisis of the ghost existing, Barnabas was determined to have a special intimate evening alone with his wife. That was important to him and he needed Julia to himself, particularly now. He felt his loss of her when he himself was deprived of her utmost attention. Barnabas melted by her soft touch and her large brilliant eyes gazing at him with her undivided attention.
Despite the number of years they had been married, he still wanted Julia all to himself, with no distractions. He still loved when Julia was doting on him and she made him feel he was the center of her universe. She always made him feel special. She listened to what Barnabas was thinking, feeling, with the utmost importance. For you see, Julia Collins , was truly a woman who was in love her husband and also loved by her husband, Barnabas.
On this particular night, Barnabas once again became the romantic man to his beloved wife. And Julia, became the sensual enchantress to her husband. Barnabas had Willie prepare a special candlelight dinner for the two of them downstairs by the fireplace. The table was formally set. The fire was lit. Flowers were placed on the table. They was an air of life in that room.
In fact, prior to dinner Julia and Barnabas had been so exhausted that they rested and changed clothes. Barnabas always had enjoyed picking out his wife's attire for such occasions, and of course he indulged her with the same privilege for her. So both dressed formal for dinner, she in an elegant green cocktail dress that was low cut dress that did not fully cover her shoulders .To complement the dress, she smelled of perfume, and wore a combination of pendant and earrings that consisted of emeralds and diamonds. And Barnabas was as handsome as ever in gray suit, white shirt, and a burgundy tie. And he smelled of a mild cologne that was appealing to Julia. Barnabas dearly enjoyed picking out Julia's wardrobe for the evening. And she didn't mind, she enjoyed being alluring to her husband. He made her feel complete as a woman.
He kissed her hand, and extended his arm out for them and they sat down to dinner.
"Julia, we have been through so much, my dear, and I love you so. After all these years, Do you still love me? Are you happy, Julia, being my wife and sharing life with me?"
"You have been a good loving wife to me, Julia, I love you with all my heart."
"I hope you are as happy as I am to have been graced with your presence."
Julia replied, "Barnabas, I love you with all of my heart and soul, what would make you think I don't love you?"
He replied, "Julia, I am a lucky man to have a wife such as you, my dear. You make my life complete. I want to thank you for that."
Julia sensed that Barnabas was seeking some special attention from her. She went over to her husband and gave him a small gentle kiss with a look of burning desire for him. He felt her love for him. And with that special feeling, he carried her in his arms up the stairs to their bedroom to culminate the special love for each other that they would share in private.
