A warm gentle rain had covered Collinwood. Sunset had come to Collinwood. As the sun was setting, a magnificent mirage of colors covered the sky above the Old house.
Nicole and Charles were alone in the drawing room. They had been browsing though various books throughout the day. Nicole apparently had dosed to sleep. Charles saw his sleepy wife and picked up gently and carried her upstairs to bed.
Barnabas and Julia had taken a walk outside and ventured toward the drawing room. They encountered their son in law, with their sleepy daughter in his arms, heading upstairs to bed. Charles quietly acknowledged his in laws and took his beloved wife upstairs. Barnabas and Julia were moved by the tenderness of Charles toward Nicole, a sleeping princess in his arms.
Barnabas looked upon his Julia, thinking of how much he loved her so. He decided this was a good time to discuss a plan to deal with the ghost of Woodard. All had been quiet at Collinwood, and he and Julia were alone.
"Julia, do you think that Woodard will appear again, or do you think he gone?"
"Barnabas, I would like to say he had gone, but I still feel a shadow in the midst of our estate. A presence of conflict still remaining. I am sorry to say, my dear. I don't think unless we do something, that will not go away by itself. Barnabas, all has been so peaceful, but this is just for the moment. Unless we do something, the baby is in danger, I just feel that."
"Yes, Julia, so do I. I keep seeing a vision of a little four year old boy with dark eyes begging for his grandfather to read to him more in this room. In fact, he was tugging at my pants to do so. His eyes' so intent on me Julia. That little boy begged for me to pick him up Julia. I couldn't resist him. I believe this cute little boy to be our grandson. Julia, he was so loving, so sweet. Such a passion little babbling boy, one would only hold dear to their heart. I think we should move now Julia, or we may never see his face. I think its time we went to Elliot Stokes and to Dr. Halstead for help, Julia."
"Yes, Barnabas, I agree we must do something before it is too late."
Barnabas and Julia headed out the toward toward Collinwood to see Dr. Halstead to discuss this matter.
