Unto the Generations Part 4
Justin Collins now pondered over the disposition of his father's stern words
and the possible isolation from his family. Like Nicole, his emotionalism
outweighed his common sense over the devastating consequences that could possibly
occur
should they go back into time. Like Nicole, despite his father's harsh words,
It seemed like an irresistible adventure that one would hardly pass up. Justin,
now sixteen was a tall handsome thin boy with blond hair and resembled his
father Barnabas Collins in his looks. His height was around 5:9 like his father,
and his dark brown eyes sadly looked outside the confines of his bedroom window.
He kept hearing his father's harsh words, " Justin, Do not ever think about
going back into time for the mere whim and just to be taken lightly as an
adventure. For if danger presented itself to the Collins family, and there
was a need to save our family, I would certainly understand that consideration.
However, just to go back into time for the sheer pleasure of such could lead
to the destruction of the Collins family, Justin , do you hear me? Do you
understand that you could cause the downfall of your own family? For merely
going back into time your involvement with others although slight to you could
alter the course of some historical event or chain of events in any of the
Collins life. Think about it Justin, that your Mother Nor I would be safe,
or your brother born, or Nicole, or even Byron. The Collins family actually
could suffer from its own demise from your thoughtless whims. Now go and think
of the trouble that you could cause. I will hear no more of this nonsense
and you have been warned of such in the past and will be punished accordingly
for this. This is not to be taken lightly."
On the other hand the zealous young Collins thought of his sister Nicole,
and her enthusiasm about going into the past. Her excitement about such made
his father's words almost silent in his mind. For the moment despite Barnabas'
stern words,
Justin excited about going on the high seas in the past for the time being
ignored his father's words and thought about all the afternoons where Nicole
Collins, his elder sister and he had planned for so long to experience education
by experiencing going back into time. He stood by the window excited for about
fifteen minutes or so, until he saw the face of Julia his mother, approaching
him in his room. Julia's angry look meant only one thing. Justin had upset
Barnabas and Julia would not let anything continue to upset the elder Collins
in any respect. Julia always stood up for Barnabas and put the children in
their place. Justin felt he was doomed for an afternoon with his mother Julia
that he be sure he wouldn't forget for many years to come. Justin, knew he
was in trouble with his mother, and there was no escaping.
