Julia Collins, had dropped her wedding ring, outside of Quentin's Staircase to let him as a sign that the family was in danger and she needed her husband to follow her back into time using Quentin's Staircase.

Meanwhile, back in 1840 Justin Collins was running in the woods scared to what he may encounter in this time. He was not protected from any harm in this regard. It was nighttime, and from the shadows appeared the figure of the vampire Roxanne Drew was out prowling for her nightly prey for food. AND to Justin's misfortune, as he was running so in the woods, Roxanne Drew out of the midst appeared to him, She drew toward him as he was helpless, and pulled her fangs out to him biting his neck before he knew it.

"You will come to me, when I call you and you shall do my bidding. And you shall come again to me tomorrow when I call for you. You are helpless to resist me."

She then again turned around to him, and drew more of an ample supply of blood from his neck, and he fell down to the cold and unconscious. There he lay with no one to help him. And smiling Roxanne faded away into the night.

Jeffrey and Elizabeth Stoddard Halstead were quite concerned at the New House about Julia not returning from her visit to the West WIng. Dr. Halstead ventured into the area of the West WIng quite alarmed, and found Julia's wedding ring, with no site of Julia anywhere around. He was totally confused. The stairs had disappeared, and were not visible to him at the moment. He knew that Julia was now in danger. He proceeded to tell Elizabeth that Julia had disappeared, and he had found her ring with no Julia. He was quite concerned and going over to see Barnabas Collins immediately.

Dr. Halstead ventured through the woods of present day Collinwood to see his cousin Barnabas Collins,and quite worried about Julia. Finally making his way to the Old House, and with a frightened look on his face made way to talk to Barnabas.

Willie opened up the door.

"Willie , is Cousin Barnabas around? I need to talk to him immediately."

"No, Barnabas can't be disturbed right now, Dr. Halstead, He and Zachary are having a father and son discussion, and he didn't want to be disturbed, if you know what I mean," replied Willie.

"Willie, You must get Barnabas, this is a life threatening emergency, Julia is in danger!"

"Ok, Dr. Halstead, I am going to get Barnabas if this concerns Julia, I am sure he will understand."

Willie invited Dr. Halstead into the drawing room of the Old House to wait for Barnabas.

"Excuse me , Barnabas, but you have Dr. Halstead waiting for you in the drawing room, " replied Willie,

In a rage , Barnabas turned to Willie, "I thought I made myself clearly understood I didn't want to be interrupted. I thought you understood that. Now tell Dr. Halstead I am in a very important conversation with my son that can't be interrupted."

"Barnabas," replied Willie, "You don't understand , Julia's life is in danger, and Dr. Halstead told me to tell you that, and that surely you would speak with him now."

Barnabas turned and looked at his son in a rage.

"Zachary, we haven't finished our discussion yet, so you understand, do you really understand? We will get back to our conversation later."

"Yes father I understand, I am afraid only too well that I do understand your wrath, and only too well of what I have done. I am truly sorry, father, please forgive me for not telling you about Justin's exploits."

"Zachary, Dr. Halstead has some news about your mother I must go to him now. You will not escape your punishment from me for your part in this. Do you understand?"

Zachary nodded and Barnabas proceeded into the drawing room frantic.

"Jeffrey Halstead, my cousin, what is this I hear about Julia being in danger , is this true? What has happened to Julia? Where is she?"

Sadly , Dr. Halstead turned to Barnabas and put Julia's wedding ring in his hand.

Barnabas now fearing for Julia's life began to weep for her.
