Nicole returned to Collinwood and spoke to her Mother outside the gardens.

"Mother I agree with you, Justin had no right to say those horrible things about father after all the agony he has suffered in the past."

"Remember Nicole, Barnabas in this time is only a friend, expect no more from him."

"Mother, you sound so cold and harsh like that. Why can't you admit the fact you loved father and it hurt you so, he didn't return his love to you."

"Because Nicole, there is no benefit from hurting your father, It is not his fault he was not in love with me in this time."

"Oh mother, sometimes you can be so irritating. You appear to be so stoic, and logical, and like nothing can hurt you. You won't admit, that seeing father this way hurts you. Mother, don't go back to being so cold and distant, you are hurting yourself. You still have Justin and I, I know that is not the same prize as Father for you. But we love you so, Mother truly. We are here for you."

"No, Nicole, you are the one who needs to understand. There is a time and a place to show emotions. If Angelique encounters your father in love with me, she will destroy all of us.
