Barnabas watched Julia's reaction to him as he looked at him with his deep dark brown eyes intent on her.

Her natural instinct was to melt in his arms.

About twenty minutes later, she gained her composure, and withdrew from him.

"Julia , why are you withdrawing from me , I love you! Come, be with me, near me. I won't attack you ,please don't be frightened of me. I want to be with you always."

"Barnabas, stop, you are reacting to the situation, to the children . I don't know what to think. I want an opportunity to think about it , please! It hasn't been too long ago , you professed your love to Roxanne, and now confused about Angelique, really , Barnabas, you expect me to now feel you love me, really , I think its more a loyalty you feel to the children. You think of me as a friend. And your feelings for your wife, Angelique, how fast you forget, Barnabas."

"Julia, ten minutes ago you were kissing me in my arms. How can you say that my intent was not real."

"I am sorry Barnabas, I just don't know what to feel or think."

"Julia, you are afraid of me rejecting you. Tell me you love me, and will work with me. Allow me to show you what I feel for you. Let me earn your trust, please."

"Oh Barnabas , I am under so much strain, worrying about Gerard Stiles, the survival of the Collins Family in 1971, Justin as a vampire, and Nicole is dying. I don't know where to turn, I am tired, and I am not in my own time, Will I ever get home? I feel so lost and confused."

"Julia, Justin told me about the what I said to Angelique in 1840, I am already aware, my dear. And you of course , are already thought that if I love you all historical events will be altered? Isn't that the truth , Julia?"

"Barnabas, think of it there are so many lives that can be lost, Nicole,Justin, you, Byron, Elizabeth, David Collins, and the others. If this happens, and you love me. No, Barnabas ,there are too many lives to consider including your family. I won't be the demise of your family to suit my personal life."

"Julia, I tell you , you are wrong, I will make those remarks about Angelique and kill Lamar Trask, so time is not altered, but I assure you, You are the one I love. I am glad to know in 1971 we did marry, and have the children. That gives me great comfort my dear. More than you can ever know.

In the meantime, Nicholas Blair had already made his introductions to Flora and Desmond Collins who Blair that Nicole Collins was ill and dying. Blair immediately proceeded out to Seaview to make a call on Julia, to see if he could help Nicole, and win Julia at the same time.

Blair approached Seaview, and Justin Collins, who shocked allowed him to see Julia. And Barnabas, who also saw him
went into a unexplained rage, "Blair, what are you doing here in this time and what is it you want? Apparently you are up to some type of evil. Why did you come here?"

"Why Barnabas, I expected some manners from a gentleman of your breeding. I am here to pay a call on your friend. Dr. Hoffman to see if I can be of some assistance to Nicole.. Why Barnabas should you be concerned, Julia is only your friend? Certainly, others are not prohibited from seeing her. Julia does have her own life and mind?" snarled Blair.
