"Why Barnabas, I expected some manners from a gentleman of your breeding. I am here to pay a call on your friend. Dr. Hoffman to see if I can be of some assistance to Nicole.. Why Barnabas should you be concerned, Julia is only your friend? Certainly, others are not prohibited from seeing her. Julia does have her own life and mind?" snarled Blair.

"And the fact you came back from another time to be near her, makes me fearful for her safety. I am her friend," retorted Collins.

"And from what time ,do you come from Blair? And why Julia of all is it the one you are looking for, I doubt your good intentions toward her, I will not allow you to harm her in any way."

"Collins, why don't you go back to your wife, Valerie, or Angelique, I should say?"

"I would be most happy to look after Julia , she needs someone to look out for her welfare. Certainly , you Barnabas, are in no such position, having Valerie as your beloved wife? sarcastically replied Blair.

Blair you are using things to your advantage. You know perfectly well That Valerie is not really my life, but rather this is just superficial Nicholas, And I do questions your motives toward Julia. I won't allow you to come near her."

"Barnabas , I can speak for myself, thank you , I don't want you to handle me I can take care of myself," replied Julia.

"Julia, despite what you think of me I can help Nicole, your daughter, you are aware of that or maybe I can. I hoped by coming here I could be of some moral support Julia, I am very concerned for your safety wherever you are. Surely , You
haven't forgotten have you? replied Blair.

"Yes Nicholas I do remember that back in my time you had a fondness for me, I do know that. But what does that have to do with now in 1840?"

"Just tell me to leave Julia, and I will, is that your wish, or could you accept the companionship of a friend?" replied Blair.

"Nicholas, I don't see where you would harm me in this time ,not right now, You are the only one from my time, Nicholas, tell me where Barnabas?"

"Julia, he is preoccupied," But I am here, replied Nicholas, won't you allow me the opportunity to be of comfort Julia?"

"All right Nicholas, I don't completely trust you, but if you wish you may see Nicole, she is upstairs ill. You may go up,"

"Julia, have you lost your mind?" replied Barnabas. Why would you allow Blair near her. I tell you , I won't let him anywhere near her"

"He won't hurt me Barnabas, in the time I came from he had a fondness for me." But you are right I want to watch him and see what he's up too, I don't trust him either, but we don't know what he is thinking. And I need to find out why he is here and what he wants."

"Julia, you shouldn't be alone with him, he harm you or cause harm to the Collins family."

"Barnabas, Nicole is dying, there is nothing he can do to harm her. maybe he can help save her with his powers."

"Right now Barnabas, I don't care, My only daughter is dying and I can not lose her."

"She is your daughter too , Barnabas, remember that. But for years I felt guilt for I had lost her, and then finally in 1971 , found her , I will not lose her again."

"Then , Julia it is true, you were married to Dave Woodard, You were with him in an intimate way , Julia. Julia, why did you hide this from me," angrily replied Barnabas.

"Then I would not be your first, You have been with him, Woodard and lied to me about it , Julia."

"Barnabas, I saw no need in telling you about Dave, I thought Nicole was dead, kidnapped.Blair took her when she was small.

"And Julia knowing that, You let this man near our daughter, what is wrong with you Julia?"

"Barnabas, she is dying, as I said, he may use his powers to save her. He has feelings for me , or out of guilt for what he did to Nicole , he may save her Barnabas. I can't lose her, I just can't.

Barnabas took hold of Julia, "Look into my eyes, Julia tell me what you are saying isn't true. Look into my eyes , hear me, I command this of you."

Barnabas looked into her eyes. It was true She had been married to Dave Woodard as his wife, Nicole was their child, and Nicholas Blair had been in love with her for a long time, but she did not love him,but loved Barnabas from 1988.

"No, I can't not allow him to take her from me. He is seizing upon her weakness with Nicole, Julia, Oh Julia. He is using 1840, to take you from me, never."
