The room changed, it was still the drawing room of the Old House, yet something was different. The room was filled with the sound of a gunshot, then a scream. Callista gasped, for she knew she was no longer alone. Angelique, was lying in the floor, a large spot of blood was staining her dress. She looked at Barnabas with hate-filled eyes. "You haven't done the job well enough, Barnabas. I am not dead yet,and while I still breathe I will have my revenge. I set a curse on you Barnabas Collins! You wanted your Josette so much,well you shall have her, but not in the way you would have chosen. You will never rest Barnabas. And you will never be able to love, for whoever loves you will die. That is my curse and you will live with it through all eternity!"

Once again Callista watched, paralyzed, as the bat from Hell attacked Barnabas, she was powerless to stop it. For the third time the room changed. This time to the cellar of the Old House. A lone coffin sat in the corner of the room. Callista already knew the occupant. The lid began to slowly creak open. She recognized the hand that bore the large onyx ring on the forefinger. Barnabas rose from the coffin, staring menacingly at her. In a equally menacing voice he stated, "You
did this to me. You betrayed me!" He lunged for her, and she screamed long and loud as she felt his cold hands grasp her slender shoulders.

Callista sat up, a cold sweat soaked her, her heart thudding deafeningly in her head.

At Blair Hall, Jacob Blair smiled, satisfied with himself. "You might have been a disgrace Callista, but your disgrace will bring up Father's and my own status with the Master."

He laughed a cruel laugh and then went up for his much needed rest.

Callista knew then what she must do. She dressed quickly and drove to the Old House, she knew if she stood any chance of warning Barnabas of her dream, she had to do so quickly.

Nicholas and Jacob prepared to set the curse on Barnabas. Nicholas would do the curse and Jacob was to take care of the only obstacles in their path, Callista and Willie. Willie had taken care of himself, he was so deeply in love with Carolyn, he would spend his spare time (which was oddly all of his time) with the blonde. Callista however, posed a larger threat to the success of their plan.

Although Callista was awake, she was still under the effects of her brother's spell. Normally a careful driver, with the exception of speeding, she was swerving sideways, nearly running off the road on her way to the Old House.

In her view, Barnabas was getting ready to attack her. On a table in the cellar, she noticed her knife. Wrenching free from her attacker, she stabbed herself in the chest,screaming, "I'll see you in hell!" The Forester swerved violently out
of control, heading straight towards a large tree. The sharp branched shattered the windshield, stabbing the unconscious form of the young woman inside. The vehicle quickly burst into flames.

Jacob Blair allowed one tear to stain his face. He had never really hurt anyone before. Not like this.

Barnabas and Scully were having dinner at the Old House that evening.When Barnabas asked what she meant when she asked if Julia's cure worked, Scully promptly denied asking it all. Barnabas was talking with Scully when suddenly the phone rang. Barnabas arose to answer it, then called to Scully. "It is for you, it is your Mr. Mulder."

Scully muttered an obscene word then went to take the call.

"Scully, I think you should leave the Old House right now! I just found out who the vampire was. And that Julia's cure wasn't successful."

"Mulder, why don't you go watch the twilight zone? Call me if something NOT from the Weekly World News happens." She hung up and went to enjoy her dinner with her very enjoyable host.

While Mulder is out aggravating the sheriff and the employees of Windcliffe, I've been spending my time with the ex-vampire himself. Scully thought smugly. Barnabas was watching Scully then suddenly spoke. He had been acting strangely all day, when she thought about it. "I was wondering, when are you and your companions due to leave Collinsport?" "As soon as Fox and Michael find whatever they're looking for."

"Scully, I know we've known each other but a few days, but I'd like for you to stay here. I can't offer you the adventure of the X-files, and I'm not as young as Fox, but I do love you Scully."
