Callista felt as though she was swimming in an endless fog. The fog was thick and no matter how hard she tried she couldn't emerge from the fog. Not that there was much reason to--she was despised by the Blairs and it was because of her that Barnabas was a vampire again. If she was to see him again, she knew he would kill her. She knew, deep within her soul if she stayed here long enough, her pain and sorrows would end forever. Once in a while she heard noises, like voices. Kinda like waves on the ocean, each one washing over the other. She felt she was nearing the end of her stay here when she found herself walking barefoot along the sea, not far from Widow's Hill. She was wearing a low cut white chiffon dress with voluminous skirts. She briefly thought that the dress would look better on her mother, when her thought was interrupted.

A man kneeled by the sea and then spoke." You need guidance. Perhaps I can help, Callista."

"Who are you? How do you know my name? How did I get here?"

Ignoring her questions, he began to walk away. "Wait!" Callista called out, waves from the sea washed over the hem of her skirt.

"I summoned you. You may call me Jerry. You must help Dana Scully and Barnabas Collins. I don't think that you are the one to hold responsible for the curse at all. You will find some unlikely allies. And the people most likely to be your allies really hold a noose around your neck. Watch who you trust, betrayal is easy to come across. I myself learned that."

Callista frowned, "Allies? For what?"

"You must protect Scully. I also believe that another curse will find it's way into the halls of Collinwood. I suppose the only way to defeat a Collins is with a Collins though."

Callista was bewildered by that remark. "What are you talking about? I'm not a Collins, I'm a Blair! My mother and father were married three years before I was born."

The man turned, looking into her hazel eyes. "I hoped that Angelique's daughter would be as beautiful as her mother, and I hoped she would have something of her father. I don't think I shall see you again Callista, but I hope that you find this chat helpful, as confusing as it was for you."

"I don't understand," Callista stated. Suddenly she felt as if she were being tugged, tugged away from this place, through the fog, and suddenly gasped. Her eyes focused on a bright light.

Scully and Fox both stared at the body of Barnabas Collins.

"We should stake him, imagine an eternity of a thousand nights!"

Mulder was eyeing the way to the basement. "Scully, what do you suppose we'd find in there?" he stepped over the body which was barring the way and then opened the door. He practically jumped the stairs. Scully entered behind him.

Mulder noticed a stack of magazines,"Somebody really liked their Playboys."

Mulder smirked. "That was lame Mulder, besides, they're mostly Glamour &
Modern and Matures."

"Interesting, I was really hoping to find an Addams Family reunion refreshment table. Or a coffin to say it simply."

Scully looked horrified. "Mulder, we are going to stake him and then...." she and Mulder spotted the coffin at the same time, behind 30 years of cobwebs and a large playhouse.

"Scully, we don't know for sure that's what he wants, you know what the journal says. I think we should get him in the coffin and wait the day out. If we lose control, then we'll do something drastic." They moved the coffin and then went to place Barnabas inside. Scully looked nauseous as she and Mulder placed Barnabas into his coffin. Between the two of the job was fairly easy. As they closed the lid, Scully subconsciously fingered her tiny cross she always wore. Mulder watched her, then put his arm around her. He had no clue how she and Barnabas felt towards each other, but he saw the concern in her eyes. "Get some rest, you'll need some come evening."
