Subj: Shaving Cream

David Collins watched Chris Jennings shave. "Why are you shaving right before you and Sabrina go out on your date?" David asked watching Chris intently.

"It's how a man gets ready for a date. You know how girls have to put on thier make-up and stuff, right? This is how a man gets ready for a date."

David nodded, "Ohk, I'm gonna see what Hallie's up to.Have fun on your date."

Chris nodded then left to get Sabrina.

After David spotted Hallie, he suddenly got an idea. He knew how to impress her.

He went to Carolyn's bathroom and washed his face. He went to Chris' room and brought the bag of razors, shaving cream and aftershave. Running his hand over his face he smiled confidently. "Yep. I could use a shave."

He shook up the shaving cream and pushed the button. More than a generous amount came out. Lathering up, David removed the safety cover and began his first attmept to shave.

"Ow! That hurt." David looked at the cut. "I know, this razor must be old. I'll get another one." Tossing the razor in the trash, he began his second attempt with the same results. "Another bad razor! I think I need to lather up again too."

After 20 minutes of shaving, David smiled quite pleased with himself. "Chris sure will be glad that I found out all his razors were bad, who would have thought 25 razors would all be bad. And I don't think that Father will miss that can of shaving cream, after all Chris's couldn't of been full. And who would want 4 boxes of Bandaids in their cabinet anyway. 3 boxes will do ohk. Now, I'll take these Bandaides off and use some aftershave and see if anyone notices how grownup I am. I wish I could see myself better, but all those cuts bleed pretty bad. But I'll just sit here a few minutes, use some aftershave and Hallie'll be impressed."

David took them off and used the entire bottle of aftershave. "I look like a man, smell like a man, and I'll be just like Quentin and be the man everybody wants! I just wish this stuff didn't burn so bad. It's kinda smells pretty strong, but then they'll all know that I shaved, and I didn't do to bad a job either!" still smiling his confident smile, David went to look for Hallie.

Instead of Hallie he found Barnabas. "Barnabas! Do you notice anything different about me?"

Barnabas was overwhelmed by the scent of aftershave and bit his tongue to keep from laughing at all the nicks on David's face. "You shaved, cousin David, It's quite obvious," Barnabas said.

David smiled, pleased that Barnabas had noticed.

When David did find Hallie, she collapsed with laughter, No wonder, he thought checking himself in the mirror, there were cuts all over his face and there was blood still streaming out of them! David's smile grew even larger, Just like Chris! Just like a real man!
