Alex Christian swung his sword. The walkman attached to his belt. The music played loud and would almost burst his ears, but he was immortal and could take a little damage. 'The world is a vampire....and what do I get for pain...even though I know...despite of my rage, I'm still just a rat in a cage..." The music of the Smashing Pumpkins, echoed through his brain. He lowered his sword. He had perfect timing and over a hundred and fifty years of practice. The head of the other immortal fell to the ground and the heavens burst forth with energy. It was called a quickening, but to Alex, it was pure ecstasy, a gorgeous rapture. He would do anything to get it. The game meant nothing to him. The feeling was everything.

Piper sat down at the table. She was really enjoying talking with these two guys. They were both very handsome, even the older one. It was a slow night at the *Quake*---"Would you like another coffee, or anything," she asked, smiling.
"That would be nice," Joe Dawson said. He looked at his companion. "How about you Mac?" He was worried about his friend. MacLeod seemed to be going through one of his difficult periods. Duncan had hardly spoken through dinner, even though he was clearly interested in Piper.
"No," Duncan MacLeod replied. "I'm fine." He had that familiar buzzing in his head. There was another immortal in this room, somewhere.
"Okay, I'll be right back," Piper said. "It might be just a minute...there are some things, I have to check in the kitchen." She thought about how much she missed Skye. They really need to hire another waitress.
In the corner of the room, Phoebe was sitting alone, but she was getting more angry every minute. There was a guy bothering her. He was sitting at the next table. He was a young man with a shaved head, and azure colored eyes. He was very handsome but very rude.
"Hey, baby," he said, outloud. He was holding himself between his legs. "Do you want some of this...I know you do."
"Would you leave me alone," Phoebe groaned. "Look you don't know who you are dealing with. Why don't you grow-up?"
Alex laughed. "You've got that wrong. You don't know who you are dealing with." He got up and pushed Phoebe against another table, sending plates and silverware falling to the ground.
Piper turned and raised her hand. Everyone in the room froze. But she was shocked to see the man still pushing against Phoebe. He was starting to raise her dress. 'Why didn't my power work against him? He must be a warlock. Now, what do I do? I wish Prue was here,' she thought to herself.
MacLeod moved quickly, pulling his sword. "Leave the lady alone. We can take this outside." He held his sword in the defensive stance.
Alex Christian pushed Phoebe to the floor. "My name is Christian...and you are?"
"I'm Duncan MacLeod of the Clan MacLeod."
Alex ran towards the door. He looked at the frozen patrons of the restaurant. He smiled at Phoebe and Piper. "Witches...I always hated them." He ran out the door shouting, "Duncan MacLeod...we will meet again, of this I swear. I always fight at a time of my choosing."
The people around, started to move again. Joe Dawson looked with amazement at MacLeod. He had moved to the other side of the room and was holding a sword in his hand. "MacLeod, Piper," he said. "Would you both please let me know what the hell is going on...."
