"So let me get this right," Quentin said. "You are a TimeLord. You travel through time, helping people and correcting past wrongs."

"Not precisely," the Doctor replied. "We are not allowed to interfere with a culture's normal development, no matter how much we would like to. We are more like time police stopping other people from changing things." He narrowed his eyes.
"Of course, I'm a bit of a rebel."

"Then there are other time travelers?" Barnabas asked. He was watching Lily at the bar. She was looking at a bottle of sherry.

"Numerous," replied the Doctor. He smiled. "I've been noticing, you both seem quite taken with my companion."

Barnabas raised his eyebrows. "She is a vampire, as I am."

Lily stopped reading the label on the bottle of sherry. "No, I'm nothing like you," she said. "Nothing. You are a primitive vampire, who lives on his instincts alone. My people are different."

Barnabas was curious. "What do mean by 'my people'? Do you come from a group of vampires?"

"Lily comes from an entire planet of vampires," the Doctor said. "Or rather I should say a moon of vampires. They live on the darkside of your moon, where the sun never shines. They have a well develped culture with music, plays, and science."

"You must be kidding," Quentin laughed. "I thought being a vampire was a curse." His blue eyes focused on Lily's large breasts.

"It is a curse if undisciplined," Lily said. "When a new vampire joins us...he must swear never to kill again. We feed on artifical blood."

Barnabas narrowed his brown eyes. "But what about during sex?"

Quentin moved closer to her. The mention of sex had peaked his interest. "Lily, my cousin wants to know...during sex do you bite?" His blue eyes twinkled.

Lily nodded her head. "Yes, we enjoy our sex very much." She moved closer to Quentin. "But don't get any ideas. I doubt very much if either of you could handle me...it gets very intense."

The Doctor cleared his throat. "Well, we must be going...would you both like to come along?"

Barnabas and Quentin both replied, "yes."

Quentin embraced the Doctor. "That sounds wonderful...just get us the hell away from here. Anytime would be better."

The Doctor moved away from him, blushing slightly. "Very well, let's go to the TARDIS. It is my time machine."

They walked out of the *Blue Whale*. Barnabas and Quentin both looked around at the ruins of the town of Collinsport. The old docks were in shambles. In the distance, they could see what remained of the great house, sitting on top of Widows' Hill.

"You know in a funny sort of way," Quentin said, softly, " Leaving is still sad...this place is so full of memories for me."

They all walked into the ancient looking police box and boarded the timecraft for destinations unknown.
