The Beginning
Nicholas Blair laughed, as he looked at his reflection in the great mirror that hung on the wall. They would be coming soon, they would wonder why they came, then he'd show them the terrible things that they would do. He couldn't wait to watch them squirm.
A beautiful dark-haired woman, in her late twenties or early thirties got out of the car, and told the driver to wait for her. She still wasn't sure why she had Max stop here. She was supposed to be at home with her husband and daughter for Christmas. She walked towards the house behind four men. A large man held the door opened and let her go past them. Inside they found a group waiting for the tour to begin.
"We will be going through many of the secret passageways, many of them haven't been explored, so we ask you to stay with the group at all times," the tour guide said.
The woman waited till most of the crowd was down one of the passageways. It was darker than she thought it would be. She brushed back a lock of hair that had fallen into her eyes.
"Oh no, my bracelet," she cried. She looked around the floor for it, but it wasn't around her anywhere.
"Here it is," a priest said handing her the bracelet.
"Thank you," she said slipping it back on. She didn't know what she would do if she lost it. She got it for Christmas from her husband. It was made of platinum and had several rectangular amethysts hanging around it. She looked up and saw that the group was no longer ahead of them. "Where did they go she asked.
"This way," said a man probably a few years older than she was. He moved past her and lead them down the passageway. "I guess I was wrong," he said shrugging when they still hadn't found the group.
A young man, about twenty-five or so leaned against the wall, he took out a pack of cigarettes, he stuck on in his mouth and lit it. As he did this the wall moved aside and they found themselves looking into a elegantly decorated room. It was decorated all in blue, and there was a large canopy bed on the wall, and straight ahead of them was a large intricately carved mirror. They walk cautiously into the room.
"At last, I was beginning to wonder you hadn't been able to slip away from the group," a smooth voice said from a dark corner of the room. They turned and saw a man dressed all in black step out of the shadows.
Ding Dong, the woman thought, maybe this trip wouldn't be a waste of time after all.
"Sit down please," the man said pointing towards the chairs that were in front of the mirror.
"Why don't you tell me why you came here," he asked the woman with a charming smile on his face.
She felt as if she couldn't hide anything from him, "I don't know, I just saw the house, and had my driver stop."
"What do you plan on doing when you leave?" he asked with a strange smile on his face.
