Hello welcome to Biography on A&E, I'm Harry Smith. Tonight on Biography the story of a woman who lead a remarkable life. The woman Elizabeth Collins-Stoddard.

Life for Elizabeth began on June 27, 1920. She was the middle child of Jamison and Rosamond Collins. She had two brothers, Philip, who was the eldest and Roger, the youngest of the children.

She lived in Collinsport, which her family had founded nearly 300 years ago. She lived in the house that her great-great grandfather built.

She grew up with privileged life, she didn't have to ask for anything, but something was missing from young Elizabeth's life. She knew at an early age that she didn't want the kind of life that her mother or her father's mother had. She wanted more out of live, than living in the big house on the hill.

When she graduated from high school, she begged her father to let her go to college like her brother Philip. He was in England, he was running the family's businesses there. Jamison wasn't pleased with his daughter's request, but he allowed her to go to a university in New York. There she found something that she knew would make her happy.

Roger Collins- (younger brother of Elizabeth Collins-Stoddard) I remember when Liz told father that she wanted to be an interior decorator. He was furious, he didn't want any daughter of his to have a career, what was good for the woman of the family in the past was good enough for her. He almost made her quit school, but he finally relented and she graduated.

When Elizabeth returned home she wasn't happy.

Jessica Fletcher- (best friend of Elizabeth Collins-Stoddard) Liz wasn't happy that she couldn't persue her career, she swore that she wouldn't become like her mother, when she got married she would do what she wanted.

It wasn't long after her graduation when she met the man she would marry.

Carolyn Stoddard- (daughter of Elizabeth Collins-Stoddard) Mother told me that she met my father when she was visiting my Uncle Roger. My father was in town on business. Mother said it was love at first sight.

Elizabeth and Paul Stoddard were married on august 14, 1940 at 3:30pm. The had only one child, a daughter, Carolyn.

In 1946, Jamison and Rosamond were killed in a accident on their way to England to visit their sons. Roger, had just entered Oxford.

Elizabeth took over at her father's wishes.

The marriage of Elizabeth and Paul wasn't always happy. They fought often , then one night in 1949, it became violent. Paul accused Elizabeth of cheating on him with his best friend Jason McGuire, who was visiting at the time. Elizabeth denied it, but Paul wouldn't believe her. Somehow she ending up hitting him with a vase. He lay on the ground unconscious. Jason found her over the body, he took the body to the cellar and buried it in a room. Elizabeth took the key, she paid Jason money to keep him quite. From that day on she never left the house, and always had the key around her neck.

People believed that Paul Stoddard ran away because he had left for weeks in the past.

Roger returned to Collinwood, and a couple years later married Laura Murdoch. They had a son, and when the boy was six Laura died in a mysterious fire.

Carolyn who had gone to boarding school returned to help her mother with her cousin, until a governess was hired.

Elizabeth hired Victoria Winters because she was her daughter. When was in college she was married for a time to a young man, Richard Winters. When her parent found out about the marriage, it was annulled. But Elizabeth was pregnant. When the baby was born Jamison put it in an orphanage. He set it up so money would be sent to the baby.

Elizabeth couldn't tell the young girl that she was her mother even though she wanted to desperately.

It was when Jason McGuire when she thought her secrets would be our forever. He bribed her into marriage, but in the end she came forward. When they police dug up the cellar room there was nothing there, but some old clothes. Jason then admitted that he and Paul set it up. Jason left town, and things went back to normal, except now she had no fear to leave the house.

Around that time a cousin from England arrived, he moved into the Old House that was run down, he said that he would fix it up himself. It was at this time when strange things began to happen, local girls began to die from a strange kind of blood lose. One girl disappeared for sometime, but returned unharmed.

The family decised to hold a sceance to talk to a ghost that seemed to be trying to tell them something. Somehow, Vicki was sent back into the past. Elizabeth swore that if she returned that she would tell her other daughter the truth that she had kept from her for so long.

Fortunately the girl did return, and she was told everything. But she wasn't happy in the present, she had lost her fiance, when his plane crashed, she returned to the past where she married her new love Peter Bradford.

Elizabeth had many more strange things happen to her. She did a little interior decorating, and wrote a book. Her daughter married twice, and had three children. The one thing she wished was that she could go back to the past to see her other daughter.
