By the time snack-time was over everyone was in class. Even Peter Bradford was there, he was supposed to be out for the week because his mother was having a baby.
"Peter's mother had her baby last night," Jeff Clark said. He was Peter's stepfather. "I'm going to pick him up before nap-time."
"All right, did she have a boy or girl," Melissa asked.
"Gwen had a boy, we're going to call him Jeff."
"Congratulations," Melissa said. Just then Donna came into the room. Donna worked with Melissa.
"Good morning everyone," Donna said.
"Good morning Miss Donna," the class said.
"I'll see you later Peter," Jeff said waving good-bye.
"Hey Donna, how was your weekend?"
"Awesome," she said as she put on her smock. "Wait till I show you what I found."
"Look at this," Donna said holding up a poster of a Hello Kitty.
"That's so cool. Where did you find it?"
"I found it at the mall, there's a new store, with all Hello Kitty stuff. I thought it would be perfect for our room."
"I'll have to go there soon," Melissa said.
"All right everyone let's go back to circle time, while Miss Melissa cleans the tables so we can do are worksheets," Donna said.
Melissa took the juice back to the kitchen, Beverly in the schooler's room waved at her. She went back to her room and began to clean the tables. Jody from the four-year-old room came in.
"Do you have any tape for the floors? I need to fix Tony's name, Cassandra keeps playing with the tape and it's coming up."
"Yeah here," Melissa said handing her the packing tape.
"Thanks, you know I wish the supplies would come in. We hardly have any glue left."
"I know, we need new crayons. They said that it should be in any day."
"Well we know how long that may be."
Melissa smiled, and Jody went back to her room. When Melissa was done cleaning the tables the class went to their seats and began to do the papers that Melissa and Donna handed to them
"Finish up because we are going to the library," Donna said.
Just then Mark poked his head into the room, "Is everyone here?" he asked.
"Yes, and everyone signed up," Melissa said handing him the sign-up sheet.
"Thanks," he said.
When they were done with the worksheets the class lined up.
"Now how do we sit on the bus?" asked Melissa.
"Quietly," the class said.
"That's right, remember Quentin, if you disrupt the librarian today you will not be able to go with us again."
"Yes, Miss Melissa," Quentin said.
"All right everyone follow me," Donna said.
The late three's were going to go to the library with the early three's. So they let Carol and the other Donna that worked at Collinsport Day Care.
"How is your class today?" Donna asked.
"It's the usual Monday," Donna told her.
"Stay in line Beth," Carol said.
The director of the day care watched as the three-year-olds walked to the bus.
"Hello Mr. Jon," the kids said at once.
"Are you going to the library?" he asked.
"Yes," they said.
"Be good listeners," he said.
"We will," they replied and walked onto the bus.
