Angèlique was planning very carefully, she watched Barnabas very carefully. He only went to see Josette once a week. She kept herself out of sight; she didn't want to be seen by anyone. Her plan was very simple, but it could easily be ruined. She didn't want to risk it, though the sight of the two lovers made her want to kill them both on the spot. Josette looked more beautiful, her tummy was very large now.
Josette was talking to Barnabas about a baby shower she was having for the baby. It was gong to be a naming party, how Josette, Angèlique thought.
Then she followed Barnabas back to his tomb; she could forgive him anything if he would just love her once again.

Josette checked her reflection one last time before she went downstairs. The guests were arriving. Josette was so grateful to Naomi; she had helped Josette so much.
Josette walked towards the door, just then the door slammed shut; she grabbed the knob and tried to open it. It wouldn't budge; it was locked from the outside. She tried to call for help. But no words came out.
She could hear strange whispers around her, and then something brushed against her hand. She turned to see what it was, but nothing was there. She went to the door again, but before she could get there she heard something from behind her. She turned and gasped.
"Sarah!"

"Do you know where Josette is," Naomi asked.
"She hasn't come down yet, do you want me to get her for you?" Therésè asked.
"No not yet, my surprise for her hasn't arrived yet."
"Should I go up and keep her there for awhile?" she asked.
"Yes, I'll send Peter up when they get here. Thank you Therésè."

Josette lowered her hands from her mouth, she couldn't believe that Sarah was standing before her.
"Josette you are in great danger. Your mother sent me to you. She's come to you herself, but you need to remember. Be careful, there are dangers lurking around, the evil hasn't gone. Your mother wants me to tell you that," but before Sarah could tell Josette what it was the door opened and Sarah vanished.
"Sarah come back," Josette pleaded.
"Josette? What's wrong," Therésè asked. "You look like you've seen a ghost."
"I thought I saw Sarah," Josette admitted.
"Oh honey," Therésè said hugging her, "It wasn't real it was just your imagination."
"I know," Josette said, she shouldn't have said anything. "Did Naomi send you to get me?"
"Yes she wanted me to stay up here with you for awhile, Peter will come and get us when she's ready. Are you okay?"
"Yes," Josette said.
After awhile there was a knock on the door. Therésè opened it and Peter walked in, "Naomi sent me to come and get you two lovely ladies."
"Come on Josette, your guests are waiting," Therésè said taking her hand.

"Ah, there she is," Naomi said. The guests turned and called out greetings. "Josette," Naomi began when Josette was by her side, "I thought about what I was going to get for you a long time. I wanted it to be something special. Now I know that a lot of those gifts over there are from Joshua and I, but this is for you," Naomi said moving aside, guests also moved and from another room emerged André and Natalie duPrès.
"Papa," Josette cried running to her father.

"All right everyone, put your names in the box, Josette will read them when they've all been collected," Naomi said.
Guest lined up to put the names that they wrote on a card into the box, which had been decorated with baby pictures and other things relating to babies.
When all the names had been put into the box, it was brought to Josette, and set before her on the table. She opened the lid and took out the first note card.
"Adora or Diamanta," she proceed to the next card reading the name or names that were on the card. "Aurelia, Natalie, Lisette, Jacqueline, Janette, Celine, Cerise, Beatrice."
Josette continued to read off names until the box was empty, "I don't know how I'm going to decide, Josette said. "They are all wonderful names."
"You don't have to decide now," someone said.
"I might have to take you up on that, but the evening isn't over yet and I will let you all know if I decide anything," Josette said.

"Naomi," Josette said when she was alone, "Thank you so much for bring my father out here. It was such a surprise. I never thought I would see him until after the baby was born."
"I have been talking with him since you told us all about your pregnancy, and he said that he wanted to come out and see you. When you told me about the party I thought it would be the perfect opportunity for him to come out."
"I means so much to me," Josette said with tears in her eyes.
"I'm glad you like my little present," Naomi said hugging Josette.

Natalie was pleased to see that Josette was well, she had feared that Barnabas' death had taken a great deal out of her. She couldn't believe that Josette was actually pregnant, she still thought of Josette as the little girl that would come and visit her in the summer, before Natalie moved in with her brother.
"You look just like your mother," André told Josette as they sat on the sofa. "She must be very proud of you," he said.
"I think she is," Josette replied. "I've been dreaming of her lately."
André smiled, "Are you happy here?" he asked with concern.
"Yes Papa, I don't think I could ever leave, not now. I want to stay close to Barnabas."
"I know how you must feel honey, but you must try to move on."
"I know Papa, I will have my baby to remind me of Barnabas, and perhaps one day I will met some one who I could love as much as I love - loved Barnabas."
"I hope so," André said.
After Josette had opened all the gifts that had been piled in the library, she went to the stairs to announce that she had decided on the name.
"After a lot of thought, and I must say you all made it extremely hard for me, there were a lot of wonderful ideas for me. I have decided that I will name my daughter."
