Therésè stood back and surveyed the room. "Well?" she asked.
Peter moved behind her, and wrapped his arms around her waist. "It looks good."
"I want it to be perfect," she said.
"It does," he said turning her around and kissing her. "So when are you going to tell me when we're getting married."
"I just moved in Peter," Therésè said.
"I know, but I love you and I couldn't imagine my life without you in it."
Therésè smiled, "I love you too, and one day I want us to get married, but let's wait and see how things go. You may want to get rid of me. I may develop a habit that you hate."
"I don't think I could ever hate anything about you," Peter muttered as he nibbled on her ear.
"We'll see about that," she said. Peter pulled back and smiled. "What?" she asked.
"Nothing," he said still smiling.
"Come on tell me," she said.
"Well I was just thinking of what we should do right now," he said meaningfully.
"Oh, you want to do that," she said nodding.
"Yeah, I was thinking that it would be a great way to make this really our home."
"Well where do you want to start?" she asked.
"I don't know, the bedroom seems like the best place to start. What do you think?"
"Sounds good to me," she said. Peter picked her up and carried her off to their bedroom.

Joshua stormed into the crypt. "Where is she!" he bellowed.
Barnabas looked at his father with surprise. "Who?" he asked.
"Laura! I was worried that she still thought she saw you, so I went looking for her. No one has seen her for days. What did you do to her?" he asked.
"Nothing, I haven't seen her. In fact the last time I saw her was before I died. I swear to you Dad I didn't do anything to her. I haven't had anything but these in a long time," he said pointing to the bottles of blood that lay about the crypt. "You believe me don't you?"
Joshua looked at him, "I want to, but I don't know if I can."
"I hate what I've become, but I'm still Barnabas."
"I know Barnabas," Joshua said, he knew what Barnabas was capable of, but he also knew that whatever Barnabas had become there was still a part of him hat was the Barnabas that he had always known.
"How is Josette?" Barnabas asked.
"She's doing well. I thought she was coming to see you."
"We were, but I thought since her father was here it would be best if she stayed away."
"You did the right thing,' his father told him.
"You don't know how hard it was for me to do that," Barnabas said.
"Not as hard as it will be for you to say goodbye," Joshua reminded him.
"I know, I can't stop thinking of that. Are you going to tell me what you are going to do with me?" Barnabas asked.
Joshua looked at him, he had been hoping that something would come to him, but he could think of nothing. "No I don't think I should tell you."
"You're probably right," Barnabas agreed. "I might try and stop you from doing it, if I knew what it was."
Joshua sat down beside his son. "I don't think you would," he said. "You don't want to spend the rest of eternity like this."
"No I don't. I want to die, but Angèlique fixed that," Barnabas said. "I should have agreed to go with her."
"But you couldn't lie to Josette."
"No I can't. I can't tell her I don't love her. I love her with every fiber of my begin. I don't think I could go on any way, if she were dead."
"I have to go," Joshua said turning to go.
"Wait," Barnabas said, Joshua turned. "How is Mother?"
"She's not the same Barnabas, she fragile. It was bad for a time, but things are getting better," he told him.
"I hate it for her," Barnabas said, thinking about his mother.
"I know, at least she doesn't know about you. I think it would kill her."

Noah sat in the booth of the Collinsport diner. He had come as soon as he got Joshua's call. He thought it was about Josette and the baby, but Joshua told him it was about something different, but just as important.
"Thank you for coming," Joshua said sitting across from Noah.
"What is this all about," he asked.
"I need your help. It's about Barnabas. I don't know what I will do with him, I don't think I could be the one to kill him."
"Are you asking me to do it?"
"No, not really, do you have any ideas, on the matter."
"I haven't really thought about it," Noah admitted.
"I know I hate to think of it," Joshua said. "I was thinking do you think that Angèlique is really gone?"
"It seems strange that she would be. She was so powerful before, I don't think death would stop her."
"No I don't think so either. Where is she then? What is she planning?"
"If she is planning something then we will find out soon," Noah said.
"The baby's birth will bring her out, she will do anything to keep Barnabas away from Josette."
"Then we need to stay with Josette at the birth," Noah said. "Joshua, should Barnabas be there with her?"
"I don't know I promised him that he would see his child, before I," Joshua stopped.
"Before you destroyed him?"
"He is my son!"
"And my best friend, even he knows that death is better then the existence that he has now."
"I thought that I could chain him inside his coffin."
"And risk the possibility that someone might find it and release him?"
"I can't drive a stake through his heart."
"Perhaps there is another way," Noah said.
"There has to be," Joshua said, "I will find a way."
