It's two weeks after Ben's presumed dead wife, Maria, is discovered to be alive. Emotionally distraught and unable to deal with Ben's confusion over the situation, Meg decides to get away for awhile. Her friend Gabi, dealing with her own problems, (she walked in on her boyfriend Ricardo's brother Father Antonio mumbling her name in his sleep and since Maria is their sister, it has caused Ricardo to be distant to her) joins Meg on this trek. What Meg doesn't know is that Gabi made a promise to Sara that she would call if they get in trouble. While browsing at a travel agency…..They see a map of the United States. Meg blindfolds Gabi, gives her a tack, spins her around. She ends up tacking the pin on the ocean but it's closest to Maine. Meg pays cash for two airline tickets, as she DOES NOT want Ben to know where she is. They head off to the airport to begin their journey.
