Quentin sat at the desk in his room, writing in his journal. His grammophone playing softly in the background did nothing to help his mood. He was sad, lonely, and even a bit afraid.

He continued to write....

"I have no desire to go anywhere. I feel alone, empty. I have no one now, save Beth who can really understand my plight. Barnabas is gone. Truly gone! His friend from the other "time" Julia mysteriously disappeared and no one has been able to find out what happened.

"That pompous, arrogant Rev Trask, watches my every move. He is determined to find out my "secret". My good friend Evan Hanley has also turned against me. He seems to be working with Trask and I suspect was responsible for the death of Minerva.

"What am I to do? Magda and Sandor were thrown off the property last week and even tho I still do not completely trust Magda, I do think she was trying to reverse the curse. But that was because Barnabas was keeping an eye on her and giving her reasons to continue to try to reverse it.

"I have heard talk in town of a mysterious hand that was once owned by the gypsys. Some kind of magic properties lie within that hand. The gypsies say it will cure any curse. Magda promised that she would return with the hand, but the question is can Magda get the hand to work?

"Oh if Barnabas were only here! I know that he would find out what to do. I trusted him. I tried to summon Angelique again today but failed. I don't know where she is either. It seems that the only people who care about me or want to help are inable to help me or manage to disappear....

"Maybe tonight, under the full moon, someone will be kind enough to destroy me. I have no desire to go on.."

Suddenly there was a faint, shimmering, glow in the room and the music from the grammophone stopped. The glow began to intensify in light and permeated the entire room. It's glow fell upon Quentin and he could feel the heat. Then the glow left him and began to condense in the center of the room. A human form began to appear.

Quentin rose from his chair and stared at the misty glow. His eyes took a few moments to focus and then a soft smile fell across his face. The first time he had smiled in many weeks. He walked slowly towards the mist and held out his hand. "Angelique! I knew you would come!"
