Angelique's
Revenge Part 7

The full moon cast an eerie glow on the the estate of Collinwood. The house
was filled with many happy faces. Besides the Collins family, Julia and Elliot
Stokes were there, along with Quentin's fiancee, Daphne and Chris' girlfriend,
Roxanne. Carolyn had invited Jeb to join them for dinner as well. Everyone had
milled into the drawing room to continue the festivity.
Barnabas and Angelique had spoken to the Stokes about the strange dreams and
experiences Angelique was having since arriving at Collinwood. Julia and Elliot
concluded that a spirit was trying to communicate through Angelique. They promised
to help Angelique and hopefully put the spirit to rest.
In the midst of the evening, there was a knock at the front door. "I wonder
who that could be," a jovial Quentin said, the wine warming his body and
putting him in good spirits. "We must have half of Collinwood here tonight."
Vicki opened the door. There stood Laura Collins, a smile lighting up her face.
She held a baby in her arms wrapped in a pink blanket. Behind her stood a devilishly
handsome man with brown hair. "Hello Vicki. May we come in?"
Vicki didn't quite know what to make of the situation, but being as gracious
as always she replied, "Hello Laura. Welcome back to Collinwood."
Laura and her escort entered the foyer and continued into the drawing room.
All eyes were riveted on Laura. No one knew what to say. Laura returned the
stares and stopped when she saw Angelique. Laura's eyes widened as memories
of 1795 flooded to her mind. Laura quickly composed herself reasoning that the
resemblance to the murdered maid to be coincidence.
Quentin sobered up quickly. "The likeness is astounding," he thought
to himself. "She looks exactly like the portrait. There must be a connection
between this Laura and the one in 1796. They have to be related. And how could
it be just coincidence that there was yet another Laura in 1897 who killed my
great grandfather."
With all eyes on Laura no one noticed Angelique stumble backward as the ghost
of her namesake possessed her body.
Overcoming his initial shock, Roger spoke in an obviously disdainful voice,
"What do you want, Laura?"
"Roger, you're the same charming man I remember," Laura said sarcastically,
but still retaining her smile. "I have come to see my son."
"You abandoned my son. You have no right to suddenly return to Collinwood
with your new lover and his child."
"Gerard?" Laura spoke as if she heard an amusing joke. "Gerard
is my personal assistant."
"And just what does he assist you with Laura?" Roger retorted.
"Really Roger," Laura replied distastefully. "And Gerard is not
my baby's father. As a matter of fact, I also came back to Collinsport so my
baby's father could see his daughter."
Roger felt a new surge of anger. "I did not father this child. I haven't
seen you for well over a year."
"With an entertaining expression on her face, Laura replied, "I am
well aware of that Roger." Laura scanned the room and rested her eyes on
Tom Jennings. She moved toward him. "Tom this is your daughter."
