Angelique's Revenge, Part 18
Date: 3/3/98
From: AngeliqueBouchard
Gerard had materialized in a dark corner of Barnabas and Angelique's room.
He had no qualms about killing Barnabas also, should the need arise. Barnabas
and Angelique sat on their bed.
"I can't believe it's over," Angelique said to Barnabas.
Barnabas looked lovingly at his wife, "I assure you she will never come
back to this house again. The Stokes have removed her remains."
"What did she want Barnabas?" Angelique asked hoping Barnabas would
have more insight into the strange events of the past few days than she did.
"I don't know, but it must have been something evil. After all, she was
a witch when she was alive, she admitted that much to me. The only thing I am
sure of is that the spirit of Angelique Bouchard shall bother us no longer."
Barnabas held Angelique wanting to erase the pain caused by the restless spirit
that had tormented them.
"So that is the explanation," Gerard thought to himself. Angelique
Bouchard had risen from the dead, at least in spirit form, to have revenge against
Laura. Laura would be pleased to learn she had been disposed of once again.
There was no need to kill Angelique now, but Gerard moved out of the shadows,
silently tempting the couple to discover him. It would please Gerard to turn
this intimate scene into a bloodbath.
Angelique and Barnabas remained blessedly ignorant of Gerard's presence so he
dematerialized and reappeared in another bedroom. He had no need to guess who
was sleeping there. He could smell Daphne's sweet blood flowing through her
veins. Quentin had insisted Daphne stay at Collinwood since the vampire attack
on Roxanne. Little did he know he was sealing Daphne's fate by doing so.
Gerard gazed down at his victim so similar in appearance to his wife of long
ago. He hovered over her as he bared his teeth. His wife's face flashed before
his eyes as he plunged his sharp fangs into Daphne's neck. He drank deeply from
her as she uttered a small sigh. Gerard withdrew before her blood loss would
be too great. He could have easily drained her completely, but he also wanted
the pleasure of seducing Daphne before he made her his eternal bride. Gerard
backed towards the window leaving a trail of blood droplets on Daphne's pillow
and on the floor. With one last look he transformed into a bat and flew off
into the black sky.
