Angelique's Revenge, Part 19
Date: 3/5/98
From: AngeliqueBouchard
Angelique Bouchard sauntered through the front door of Collinwood. It was early,
but Chris was also awake and ready for the day. "Why Angelique you're up
early," he commented, mistaking her for Barnabas' wife.
"I couldn't resist taking a walk on such a beautiful day," she answered.
Chris smiled at hearing the melodious quality to her voice. "Is Barnabas
up yet?"
"Not when I left. I'm going up to see him now," Angelique replied,
gloating to herself over the power she possessed to so easily bewitch Chris.
As Angelique ascended the stairs Roxanne opened the drawing room doors. Upon
seeing Angelique she marveled, "That was Angelique you were just talking
with?"
"Yes. Why?" Chris responded with a puzzled look on his face.
"Ohh, no reason," Roxanne said. She distinctly sensed an evil presence,
but could not tell Chris of what she felt. It was hard enough for him to accept
that she was attacked by a vampire. Roxanne had never been this aware of having
psychic powers before. She spoke to Jeb about it since he was much more open
to the supernatural than Chris. Whether it was not being able to rely on her
other senses the days she was bedridden from the weakness of her lack of blood
or the actual vampire bite itself, they were not certain, but one thing was
sure, Roxanne was much more adept at understanding her psychic impressions since
that fateful night.
Angelique Bouchard smiled to herself as she walked through Collinwood, recalling
her success in the early morning hours. Her first order of business was to visit
Jeb Hawkes. She quietly slipped into his house and entered his bedroom. He was
startled awake when she uttered his name. "Mrs. Collins? What are you doing
here?"
"An understandable mistake, Mr. Hawkes, but I am not Mrs. Collins. At least
not yet. You may call me 'Angelique'."
His eyes grew wide at the realization of what was happening. "You, you're
not human... are you?"
"Ahh, your psychic powers have given you great insight, but that needs
to end right now. I won't allow you to interfere in my plans anymore. Now sleep
again and when you wake you will see things are quite different, but you will
not remember this encounter. Now I command you to sleep."
Jeb obediently fell back to sleep and Angelique performed her spell. She left
with his watch for she needed a personal item so her spell would not be broken.
"He'll never know what happened," Angelique thought as she arrived
at Barnabas and Angelique's bedroom and turned the knob.

Jeb Hawkes, disheveled and looking distraught, knocked on the Stokes door. Julia
answered. "Why Jeb, you're up early." She narrowed her eyes, "What's
wrong?"
"Julia, this is going to sound unbelievable, but I think I've lost all
my psychic powers!"
