"Ouch!" Barnabas cut his finger on the sharp bamboo stick he was fashioning into an IChing Wand. He had decided that the only way they would ever get off this godforsaken island was if he turned to this most ancient form of divination. It had gotten him into the past before and Julia as well! They could always send back a rescue ship for the others! It could work!

"Barnabas, it will never work." Julia shook her head in disbelief as her husband ignored her protests and continued the task at hand. "Barnabas, be reasonable! The only thing that is keeping us here is Angelique and everthing that happens here is under her control! Do you think for one minute that she will let you escape her by using these bamboo IChing Wands?" Julia laughed out loud and was instantly sorry when she saw the hurt look on Barnabas' face, but the damage had been done.

A small tear mostly of frustration made it way down his sunburned cheek. "Julia, if that is the way you feel, then fine. If you don't want to try to use my wands then you do not have to. I will do it without you." And before Julia could apologize, Barnabas threw the bamboo wands and there was the 44th Hexagram on the table before him. The Hexagram of MEETING! He closed his eyes and almost instantly he was standing in a small dark crowded room. There was something pushing in his back. He reached behind himself in the dark and touched a shelf! And there was something soft on it. It was a towel! A towel?

The door came open suddenly and there in front him was a young girl about David's age with long blond hair, eyeglasses, and braces. She screamed and slammed the door shut! Barnabas could hear her running down a hallway as he lost his concentration and faded back into his body on the island.

Jan Brady pulled her mother and father along in terror as she continued to insist that there was a strange man in the linen closet! Carol did her best to comfort her hysterical daughter and Mike Brady gallantly opened the linen closet door! There was nothing there. And the couple really didn't think there would be, but sometimes it was just easier to go along with Jan's little rantings. She was at such a difficult age.

Her mother spoke up lovingly. "See dear. There's nobody in there. You know, maybe, if you would go get some fresh air and exercise like your sister, Marcia, then maybe....."

"MARCIA! MARCIA! MARCIA!"
