Quentin Sure. (He pulls up a chair and sits down. After a few minutes she goes to sleep. He kisses her forehead and exits.)

Act 1 Scene 5

(The next morning. Maggie opens her eyes. She turns and sees Quentin asleep in the chair. She smiles and gets up. She exits. She enters a few minutes later and he's gone. She walks downstairs. Quentin is finishing a cup of coffee. She sits across from him.) Good morning Maggie.

Maggie Good morning Quentin. When will Gabriel return?

Quentin Sometime tomorrow evening. Why?

Maggie I have something to tell him.

Quentin If it's improtant I'll send a messenger.

Maggie I won't be able to accompany you and him.

Quentin May I ask why?

Maggie I'm expecting. (He smiles)

Quentin Congratulations. (He stands and walks over. He kisses her cheek.) Will he have time for this trip?

Maggie This child won't be born for at least seven months. I would hope so.

Quentin I'll keep quiet until you tell him. I have to get to the office. I won't be home until late.

Maggie Ok. (He exits.)

Act 2 Scene 1

(That night. Enter Quentin. He goes upstairs and stops at his room. He enters the room and takes off his jacket. He exits. He opens Maggie's door. She's asleep and he walks over to her as he's unbuttoning his shirt. He pulls the covers up and she mumbles. He leans over and she grabs him. She pulls him to her and kisses him passionately. He moans and tries to pull back but she won't let him. He undresses and slips into bed. They kiss and Maggie moans.)

Act 2 Scene 2

(The next morning Maggie opens her eyes. Quentin enters with a tray.) Hello Quentin. (He places the tray on the dresser. He takes her a cup of coffee and she smiles at him. He pulls up a chair and sits.)

Quentin Hello. Did you sleep well?

Maggie Yes. Thank you. (She looks down at her cup and then at him. She motions for him to lean down and she kisses him passionately. He tries to pull away. She's unbuttoning his shirt and running her hands over his chest. He pulls back.)I want you.

Quentin You are Gabriel's wife. This is not right.

Maggie I don't care. (She kisses him again and he moans. He pulls back and stands up. He undresses and slips into bed.)

Act 2 Scene 3

(Later. They're both getting dressed. They won't look at each other.) I...

Quentin That never should have happened.(Maggie is turning her wedding ring.) It was all my fault. I should have stopped it.

Maggie I'm going to be honest with Gabriel and hope that he will forgive me. (She exits.)

Act 2 Scene 4

( That night. Enter Gabriel. Quentin catches him and they talk. Gabriel stares at Quentin then hits him. Quentin fall and Gabriel runs upstairs. He runs into the bedroom and finds Maggie in a chair.) I....
