Gerard What do you mean?

Jonique He drank the tea willingly and he came to me as my husband.(She shows him the wedding ring.) There's nothing you can do about it.

Gerard If your sister were here it would be different.

Jonique No it wouldn't. We were destined to marry into the Collins family. She just married the "cousin" from England. You know he really is a vampire.

Gerard Why Quentin? Why not Daniel?

Jonique From a girl's point of view? (He nods) He struck my fancy. (She looks at him and smiles an evil smile) Besides that he's everything a girl could want. Handsome, rich, worldly, rich. Get what I mean?

Gerard What about Maggie?

Jonique You marry her.

Gerard She loves Quentin. He loves her.

Jonique Not anymore. (Gerard hears a noise and turns to find Maggie staring at them. She is furious and Jonique smiles at her) Are you going to be a gracious loser?

Maggie How dare you?! (Gerard grabs her around the waist as she lunges for Jonique) You witch!

Jonique I'd suggest that you both leave. When my husband I will as him to relieve you of your command Mr. Stiles.(Gerard and Maggie exit. They enter outside and Maggie begins to walk. Gerard starts walking faster to keep up with her.)

Gerard There has to be...(He looks at Maggie) Where are we going?

Maggie I have to cancel my dress. (They stop in front of the shop.) Excuse me. I'll only be a moment. (She enters and Gerard follows. Enter Angelique.) Hello.

Angelique I was just thinking of you.

Maggie Why?

Angelique I just finished your dress. (She smiles at Maggie. Maggie begins to sob and runs out. She looks at Gerard) What has happened?

Gerard She came to cancel the dress. I...(He frowns and shakes his head. He hears her voice in his head)

Angelique It's alright Captain Stiles. You can remember me.

Gerard Angelique? (She nods and he picks her up. He spins around with her.) I'm so glad to see you!

Angelique Now tell me what has happened? Where have I failed?
