Act 2 Scene 5

(The room. Quentin blinks his eyes. He hears crying and looks around. He sees Sarah and that her dress is torn. He looks down and sees his shirt. He looks at her)

Quentin Sarah? (She looks at him) What happened?

Sarah You have to ask? After what you've done to me? How dare you! (He slips on his trousers and stands. He grabs his shirt) Don't come near me!

Quentin You must not have been very good. (She stares) I have no memory of you. (He puts the shirt on.)

Sarah You bastard! You raped me!

Quentin Rape? (He stares at her) Just the other night you tried to seduce me. Remember? (She screeches and lunges at him. Enter Ron. He grabs her around the waist and carries her out. Enter Joshua carrying a tray with food. He places the tray on the table.)

Joshua You need to eat.

Quentin No I don't. How long have you worked for Sarah?

Joshua I don't. You will soon do what you're told.

Quentin And just what am I going to do? (Joshua smiles and exits.)

Act 3 Scene 1

(Outside Sarah's home. Julia and Gerard enter. They knock on the door and no one answers. Gerard turns the doorknob and the door opens. They enter. Ron enters and stares at them but they don't see him. They go toward the back of the house and he goes upstairs. He stops at a door and knocks. It opens and he sees Sarah sitting at a vanity brushing her hair. She's wearing a robe.)

Sarah Yes?

Ron They're here.

Sarah Good. (She laughs) Make them unwelcome. We'll be down in a few minutes.

Ron Yes mistress. (He exits. A young man walks over and they kiss. He's shirtless.)

Sarah First we destroy Gerard Stiles then Julia Hoffman. (She kisses his hand) Then...

Man Then Quentin Collins. For mother.

Sarah I love you my brother.

Bruno And I love you my sister. (Sarah stands and steps behind a screen.)

Act 3 Scene 2

(Enter Ron and Joshua. They wait. Enter Julia. They grab and take her into the library. Ron ties her up and Joshua gags her. They hear Gerard and step back out of sight. Gerard enters and sees Julia. He goes to her and Ron knocks him unconscious. They take him out.)

Act 3 Scene 3

(A bedroom. Gerard opens his eyes. Sarah is there and she's smiling at him. He starts to reach for her but can't. He looks and finds that his wrists are tied to the top of the bed.)

Sarah Do you realize if our positions were reversed that you could take advantage of me and I wouldn't be able to stop you?

Gerard I'll never get that desperate. (She walks over and leans over him. She kisses him passionately and he doesn't respond.) Where's Quentin?

Sarah He's safe for now. Of course you might be the key to setting him free. (He stares at her) Would you like to know how?

Gerard If it has anything to do with being intimate with you I'd rather not. Sorry Quentin. (She takes a glass of water and puts it to his lips. She forces him to drink. She's smiling and chanting. A few minutes later she unties him and they kiss passionately.)

Act 3 Scene 4

(The library. Enter Bruno. Julia stares at him and he removes the gag.)

Bruno Welcome to my world. How are you? Just a little out of your time?

Julia I'm fine and I came here to save Quentin.

Bruno Well soon it'll be all over. You will have failed. He will die.

Julia What do you mean? You didn't have...

Bruno As we speak Sarah is casting a spell over Gerard. He will do her bidding.

Julia What do you hope to gain?

Bruno The Collins' money, power. Gabriel will die also. (She stares at him) See we can also change history.

Julia You'll never get away with this!

Bruno Yes we will. (They hear a noise.) Excuse me. (He places the gag back and exits.)

Act 3 Scene 5

(Outside. Gabriel rides up and dismounts. He enters the house and Bruno knocks him unconscious. Ron and Joshua carry him out.)

Act 4 Scene 1

(A bedroom Sarah is getting dressed. Gerard is dressed.)

Sarah Gerard there is a woman in this house who doesn't want us to be together. (He looks at her) This must be our last time.

Gerard No. (He gets an evil look on his face.) I won't give you up. I can't!

Sarah She has threatened to tell Gabriel about us. If she tells him before I can he will kill me.

Gerard Where is she?

Sarah Bruno caught her snooping around. She brought two men with her. She's in the library with them. (Gerard smiles and exits. Enter Bruno.) It's done.

Bruno Good. Gabriel is next door.

Sarah Good. If all goes well I will soon be a widow. Again.

Bruno I still think I should take his life.

Sarah No. This must be brother against brother. (He smiles at her and she sees the excitement in his eyes.) You enjoyed killing him, didn't you?

Bruno Yes. He begged me to end his life. Remember?

Sarah But not before he told us where to find Quentin's soft spot. (They smile) Nathan Forbes never suspected anything.

Bruno And nobody suspected us. (They hear shots.)

Sarah I think our problems have been solved (They laugh and exit.)

Act 4 Scene 2

(The library. Enter Sarah and Bruno. They look around but no one is there. They see blood on the floor. Enter Gerard.)

Bruno What did you do?
