Gerard I killed then disposed of them. (He looks at Sarah. He smiles) Now we can be together.

Sarah Gerard, listen to me carefully. (He nods and she takes his hand with the gun in it. She places it against his temple.) No matter what you hear you will stay here in the library. When you hear a shot you will pull the trigger. Do you understand?

Gerard Yes. (He sits in a chair. Bruno and Sarah exit. A few minutes later he shakes his head. He drops the gun and exits.)

Act 4 Scene 3

(A bedroom Quentin opens his eyes. Sarah is there and she has a glass in her hand.She walks toward him but he's looking behind her. She turns and sees Angelique.)

Sarah Mother?

Angelique How dare you use your gift.

Sarah But...Father said...You said...

Angelique I said that if it weren't for Quentin rejecting me I would have never married your father. (She looks at Quentin) He did me a favor. Thank you Quentin.

Quentin You're welcome. I think.

Angelique You should never mess with things you do not understand. (They hear
Bruno scream)

Sarah But mother...They should pay. (Enter Bruno. He's pale. Nicholas is behind him) Bruno?

Nicholas It seems my dear that our children need to be punished.

Quentin Where's Gabriel? Is he alright?

Angelique He's in the room next door and he's fine. He has a slight headache.

Bruno What are you going to do?

Nicholas Master, we come to thee and hear our plea. These two wayward children need
to feel your power. (Bruno stares as Sarah doubles over.)We beseech you to return them
to your fold.(Sarah screams and fades. Quentin watches as Bruno disappears. Angelique and Nicholas smile)

Angelique She will do no more harm.

Nicholas He will not follow her fool hardy plans. (They hold hands and a light flashes. They disappear.)

Act 4 Scene 4

(Collinwood. enter Quentin. He's smiling as he enters the library. Gabriel is there.)

Quentin Hello.

Gabriel How was your trip?

Quentin Very profitable.

Gabriel I got word from Chris.

Quentin Oh? Did she?

Gabriel They have a daughter.

Quentin When?

Gabriel Two days ago. They named her Sarah.

Quentin Let's go. I can't wait to see her. (They laugh and exit.)
