The air, thick and damp chokes me as I awake.
Dawn is near and I rise to begin a new day.
Soon the beauty of the sunrise will caress the morning sky.
Indeed a sight I hold dear instead of fear.

Each day is still a blessing I hold close to my heart.
No more do I see dawn as my enemy.
The cold, bleak cloak of night is now a memory.
I greet the warmth of the sun on my face.

Spring is near and the trees display their first buds.
Soon Collinwood will be gleaming with the colors of spring.
Life begins anew and I have my love beside me.
Oh.....finally after all these years.

Many have suffered for my deed long done.
I have tortured and consoled many a soul.
Good and evil, love and hate....such a fine line.
Finally, I can rest and be happy.

May my ancestors forgive me for my transgressions.
May they forget the sorrow I bestowed upon them.
May they realize I am only human.
May they know I loved them so.

Wait ! What is this..the atmosphere?
A feeling so strange yet familiar and dreaded.
It can't be...not now...not here...not again???
Her soul reaches out to mine...taunting me.

She has returned to Collinwood to claim what is hers.
She will never be denied or defeated.
Angelique has returned...
And I, Barnabas......... I do fear!!!
