And she remains on Widow's Hill
Her body enveloped in the grey mist.
Centuries of heartache and anger rip at her heart.
Oh, the merciless punishment of unreturned love.
But wait.....a sound, a feeling, the heart skips a beat.
His scent drifts to her, enclosing her senses.
He has come and oh so willingly.
Their time has come, finally.
He wraps his arms around her as his lips caress her neck.
His long, black cape protects her from the biting cold.
"Oh Angelique," he mutters. "How could I deny this for so long?"
"I love you so, I beg forgiveness my dear, sweet Angelique"
She has won, finally after centuries, she has won.
She turns and gazes into his eyes.
The years are traced upon his brows but the eyes remain the same.
She smiles, "Oh Barnabas finally we are together."
The air turns hot and humid, searing her lungs as she breaths.
His eyes suddenly reflect the years of agony she has caused.
A cynical laughter fills the air as the moans of the poor widows engulf her.
Nicholas is laughing, she suddenly awakens.........................
