1968
Julia Hoffman, standing in Dr. Lang's lab with the still-dead body of Adam and
the sleeping form of Barnabas, glanced to the left, then the right, making sure
she was completely alone. No problem--Lang had gone to the pharmacy to pick
up some of the medications they were going to need to ensure the transfer of
life force went smoothly.
She lifted off the sheets covering the bodies, then quietly, carefully unzipped
Barnabas' and Adam's pants. "No time like the present," she muttered
to herself. "I'll never get another opportunity like this."
"OH MY GOD!" she cried, moments later. "Eric, where on earth
did you find. . ."

Dr. Lang died of a heart attack during the experiment. Adam and Barnabas both
survived the life force transfer, but the former vampire noticed immediately
that a change had come over Julia. Her eyes no longer focused on him with the
same abject love and adoration. He asked her about her seeming indifference,
and she batted her lovely eyelashes at him and said, "Sometimes, a woman
has to concede defeat in certain matters, Barnabas. I'm busy introducing Adam
to his world, teaching him. Given what happened, and my role in his life, it's
the least I can do."
The following night, Barnabas heard strange sounds--grunts and groans--issuing
from the basement. He trooped downstairs. To his astonishment, he found a completely
nude Julia sitting on an equally nude Adam, moaning, "You're a stallion,
Adam, a fucking stallion, and I'm riding you all the way home! Ohhhhh, God!"
